Chapter 2: Born Into Voltraxia

Reincarnated as a baby in House Voltraxia, a noble family known for spontaneously awakening unique, science-based Essencia powers.

The first sound Kenzo heard in his new life was a soft mechanical hum—like a machine breathing.

His eyes fluttered open to a silver dome ceiling, lined with geometric conduits that pulsed with soft blue light. Floating drones buzzed gently in the air. Gravity felt lighter, the temperature perfectly balanced. Everything seemed alive… but in a controlled, clinical way.

A woman leaned over him. Her hair shimmered like metal strands in motion, and her eyes glowed faintly with fractal light. Not warmth. Not magic. But calculation—as if everything she saw was being processed in real time.

She whispered softly, her voice steady with a blend of awe and caution. "His resonance is… unusual. No recorded pattern in the family archives."

A second figure stepped forward. A man, tall and refined, his presence magnetic—not literally, but politically. He wore an elegant dark robe laced with thin lines of copper filament, each one subtly crackling with energy. There was a dignity to the way he held himself, like someone used to command.

"Are you certain?" he asked. "The scan shows his Essencia Signature is active… at birth?"

The woman nodded. "Confirmed. His Soul Core has formed naturally. No stimulant injection. No ritual. It's as if his being was… tuned from the moment of conception."

Kenzo didn't understand everything, but he felt it. Deep inside his tiny newborn body, something different was pulsing—something sharp, precise, and strangely mechanical. It wasn't warmth or spiritual flow like he'd seen in anime. It was structure. Polarity. Fields in motion.

A quiet click echoed in his mind.

Somewhere inside, something had aligned.

Days passed.

Kenzo learned quickly—faster than he should've been able to.

He was still in an infant's body, but his mind, intact from his past life, soaked in everything. The whispers of doctors. The gentle hum of energy fields. The faint tingle in the air when someone used their Essencia nearby.

This world wasn't Earth. Not even close.

It was a technologically-advanced, science-fantasy civilization stretching across multiple solar systems. He'd been born into House Voltraxia—one of the most elite and powerful noble families in the Astradominion Empire. Their prestige didn't come from wealth or war, but from Essencia: the awakened manipulation of the laws of reality.

But Voltraxia was unique.

Unlike most noble houses, whose bloodlines produced specific talents, Voltraxian children awakened randomly. Their powers were never inherited directly. One generation might control gravity, another might fold spacetime, and another might manipulate sound on a molecular level.

Every child born into the house rolled the cosmic dice—and only a few awakened anything at all.

Kenzo, however, wasn't just an early bloomer.

He was different.

By the end of his second week, his crib floated—completely unsupported.

By the third, he had attracted all metallic objects in the room without meaning to.

And by the fourth… he'd generated an electromagnetic burst that knocked out the entire east wing's power grid.

The family scientists were baffled. Some were fascinated. Others wary.

"He's developing magnetic resonance. No one in the family has ever awakened this," murmured one. "Not in recorded history."

"It's not just magnetism," said another. "He's affecting field geometry, waveforms, charged particles. He's… writing laws with instinct."

Kenzo didn't care about the analysis.

All he knew was that his power felt right.

Like something he'd always known was waiting for him—quietly buzzing under the surface of his old life, now fully awakened.

At five months, the family elders summoned a private tribunal.

The conclave of Voltraxia gathered in silence, encircling the child at the center of a low-gravity chamber. Each wore ceremonial garb woven with threads of scientific symbolism—black holes, atomic shells, waveform spirals.

The patriarch, Lord Vaelric Voltrax, spoke.

"This child… Kenzo Arclight Voltrax… is unlike any we have seen. His Essencia reflects order and polarity, but also chaos and attraction. He is magnetism personified."

He stepped forward, placing a hand over Kenzo's chest.

"And I sense something else. Not just Essencia—but intelligence. Older than it should be."

The others murmured.

One of them narrowed their eyes. "You're suggesting he's… reborn?"

"No," Vaelric said quietly. "I'm suggesting he was meant to be."

And so, Kenzo Takahashi—now Kenzo Arclight Voltrax—was no longer just a boy.

He was the anomaly.

The first magnetic wielder in Voltraxian history.

And while the Empire watched from afar, intrigued by the child with no known precedent, none of them understood the truth:

He remembered Earth.

He remembered death.

And this time, he was going to make damn sure no one could cut his life short again.
