For 10 years, camp pinebrook had been closed. People say the forest claimed too many kids. But this summer, the camp is reopening for a 'healing and restoration' program for teens who've experienced trauma... something about bonding with nature and reconnecting with joy.
17- years old Caleb doesn't want to reconnect with anything. His twin sister went missing at that same camp (although it beared a different name at that time) years ago. His parents made up this story that she was burnt in the forest fire alongside others who attemded that camp, they buried 'her belongings' since they couldn't find her dead body.
Now, Caleb is back. To crack the case and find out the truth behind the missing kids from 2015 alongside his sister.
Camp pinebrook- This camp looks normal in the day with normal camping activities going on.
But at night... the woods whispera chant- campers sleepwalk into the forest and forget they ever left. Also, strange wooden effigies appear near tents. And worst of it all?
Caleb starts seeing his sister! Alive! Smiling! Calling him into the woods. Except, something is wrong with her, she is not quite how he remembered her to be.
He tries to tell 'someone' that he found his dead sister alive but no one believes him. The only person who believes him is a girl, Zari, whose cousin also vanished the same summer his sister did.
They both work hand-in-hand to uncover the mystery that occured in 2015. As they uncover the camp's disturbing past, they find out jornals from former campers, warnings carved into tree trunks and a map to a place called 'The Red Clearing'
Whatever lives in the forest doesn't kill, It keeps!
And the more time he spends with Zari, the more he realises:
They're next!
