The audience hushed with anticipation as the stage was prepared, the lights dimmed, and host Celia Mitchell stepped into the spotlight on the popular "Daily Talks" show. Today's guest was a mysterious masked designer whose true identity remained unknown to this day.
As the iconic opening music of the show faded away, Celia turned to the audience with a radiant smile.
"Good morning, Sunshine Viewers! Welcome to another fabulous day and a new edition of our 'Sunny Guest' segment!"
Celia clapped her hands and continued reading the words displayed on the teleprompter.
"Today, we have a special guest our team worked hard to book for an exclusive interview. Someone who has been going viral for his stunning creations this past few months, and for five years in the fashion, still no one knows who's behind the iconic mask. Please welcome, The masked fashion designer and the CEO of LUC AT ME fashion Line, LUC!"
The audience erupted in applause as Luc, adorned in a tailored suit of liquid silver with celestial embroidery, radiated elegance. His midnight blue chiffon shirt, adorned with crystal sleeves, whispered sophistication. Geometric-patterned trousers tapered towards bespoke oxfords, each step a rhythmic dance. Accessorized with his iconic avant-garde phantom masquerade mask, and a carefully tousled hairstyle, he embodied the essence of fashion mastery.
A living canvas, he gracefully entered the stage, turning heads and leaving an indelible mark of style. The air was charged with intrigue as the masked designer took a seat across from Celia.
"Thank you for being here, Luc. The first question that's on everyone's mind – why the mask?"
With calm excitement in his voice, Luc answered,
"The mask represents the universality of creativity. It allows my work to speak louder than my identity, going beyond personal details and connecting with people on a deeper, more intellectual level."
Celia looked puzzled, but shook her head, smiled and she asked again,
"Is it true that no one knows your real identity behind that mask?"
"Yes, it's true, not even my assistant, nor my driver, not my colleagues, my shop workers and most certainly not even my family knows who I am. I kept my identity as Luc from my family and be their normal son on the dinner table without them realizing that I am the Famous Masked Designer. I have my reasons. And that's also a secret."
Celia and the crowd couldn't help but be amazed, eyebrows raised in disbelief. The question "how?" is written all over their faces.
As the interview progressed, Luc shared insights into his creative philosophy, weaving words as skillfully as their designs. The conversation delved into the challenges faced, the joy found in collaboration, and the impact art could have on society.
The show also prepared a small fashion show, showing all his latest creations for the next fashion season.
The lights dimmed again, confetti fluttered down from above, spotlights beamed across the stage as models came out one by one.
The stage bloomed with floral-inspired gowns: the deep reds of a rose, the serene whites of a lily, the delicate layers of lotus petals, and more, each dress a tribute to nature's elegance.
But when the twelfth and final gown came out, everyone in the audience dropped their jaws and silence filled the air as the model slowly walked on the stage wearing the last gown of the collection.
The gown was dreamy, ethereal.
As the model posed and walked the stage, Luc grabbed a mic, faced the audience and proudly said:
"Sprinkled with thousands of forget-me-not flowers made from organza and silk, handmade and hand-sewn, one by one on the gown. The off-the-shoulder bodice dips into a deep, elegant neckline, while the full skirt flows out in soft, sweeping layers. Each tiny flower shimmers in shades of pale blue, icy blue, and soft pearl, catching the light with every move. Every woman wearing this gown, I guarantee that you will feel delicate, romantic, and almost magical, like stepping out of a fairytale garden at twilight."
All twelve dresses and gowns walked the stage one last time and stayed on the stage as final questions are asked by the host of the show.
"Wow, what show! And people got to watch it for free in the comfort of their homes. Your work is indeed beautiful. Aside from this collection, can you give us an example of a piece that holds a special place in your heart?"
Luc paused for a moment as painful memories surfaced and filled his mind. Anger, disgust, and hatred began to show on his face. But he took a deep breath, glanced at his assistant, who had his hands up in a thumbs-up gesture, and then answered.
"There's a piece called 'Ephemeral Harmony.' It's a representation of fleeting moments in life, the beauty in impermanence. It's a reminder to cherish the present. I'm just not done with it yet since I'm still looking for that one final detail that I need."
Luc rose and stepped closer to the camera. With a smirk on his face, he said the unexpected.
"And I dedicate this piece to Madam Faith Vergara of Rue de Rêve Fashion. Cherish your present, because soon, you will become a relic, your time will pass. And I, will take your place in this fashion world. Mark my words! "
The interview ended, and in Luc's mind, he was cursing the woman he had spoken about, determined to destroy everything she had built. Despite his rage, he knew the bitter truth that Faith Vergara was his own mother.
