But when she starts showing an unnatural interest in Kaito, things begin to spiral. Whispers turn into suspicions. Students vanish. And the line between obsession and devotion begins to blur. Chapter 1 - The Transfer

Kaito's alarm buzzed at 6:30.

He didn't rush to stop it. He just stared at the ceiling until the noise finally got to him. Then, he shut it off and moved through his morning routine.

Brushing. Shower. Clothes.

He then put his headphones on

He left his house, walking then taking a subway ride.

Before he reached a building

The Academy stood like a fortress in the sky, Stone towers, glowing glass bridges, banners fluttering with house symbols and division colors.Students moved in packs, talking, laughing.

Kaito walked with his hood up and eyes down, A pair of third-years sat near the gates, chatting just loud enough to cut through his music.

"Yo, did you hear? Last semester, someone's Eidolon snapped and wrecked the West Wing."

"Yeah. School tried to cover it, but that whole side's still sealed off."

They're all just speaking about it as if it's just regular gossip..Not that it concerns me anyways..

He kept walking before stopping infront of a door,

Class 2-B – BattleCourse.

He stared at the class tag, confirming it one last time.

Yep, this is the one

Then opened the door, A few students looked up. No one said anything.

Good.

He found a seat near the back and sat down, slipping his headphones still over his ears. His music wasn't loud—but it was enough.

He closed his eyes.

Not long after, the door opened again. A group of girls walked in, voices rising above the calm.

"Your hair didn't even frizz after yesterday? That's not natural."

"It's literally witchcraft. I'm suing."

Their laughter echoed through the classroom.

But then something changed.

The chatter didn't stop—but it softened. Shifted. Like something had entered that made the room pause.

Kaito opened one eye.

Amane Hoshigawa.

She entered without trying to draw attention. But attention followed her anyway.

Dark hair. Calm red eyes. Perfect uniform. Soft presence.

Students moved without realizing it—just to give her space.

She smiled at a few people, waved at someone near the front, and then calmly walked to the seat beside Kaito.

She sat down.

Why is she sitting there? Out of all the open seats…

He blinked once, then looked away.

The teacher entered soon after, holding a clipboard.

"We have a new transfer. Battle Course, second year."

He nodded toward the back row.

"Kaito Mori. Formerly in the Support Course. You'll be seeing more of him."

Kaito gave a small nod, acknowledgment

A few glances. A whisper or two. Nothing loud.

Except for one student by the window—pink hair, sharp red eyes.

He looked at Kaito a second longer than the rest. Then turned away.

Class began.

Kaito stared forward, headphones now around his neck.

"Let's address what happened last term," the teacher said.

"Yes—the East Wing incident was real."

The classroom stilled.

"A student lost control of their Eidolon. The damage was severe. Their identity remains classified."

An Eidolon..An energy made projection formed out of the user's emotions, personality, ability and mindset..

Concerning emotion it might have been possible that someone's Eidolon could go out of control.A student couldn't control theirs well enough.Guess the Academy's still trying their best to cover it up, avoid a bad rep.

The teacher's gaze sweeps over the class before continuing.

"You are not weapons. Not yet. You are students, learning to use power. Use it wrong, and the results speak for themselves."

From somewhere behind, a student toward the back muttered under his breath.

"Pfft. That's what Support students are for, right? To keep us from blowing ourselves up."

Kaito heard a few stifled laughs. Then—

"Support students assist," said Amane calmly. "They're not your bodyguards." She said it with a smile, as if she were just clarifying a fact.

But the room shifted again. The air stiffened.

Even the teacher nodded.

"Well said, Hoshigawa."

Kaito glanced toward her.

She was already writing again, focused, unaffected.

People listen to her when she talks.Huh..

After the lecture, students were dismissed for training.

In the locker room, the air buzzed with quiet tension.

Kaito kept to himself.

Not far behind him, he overheard familiar voices.

"I swear, I'm gonna spar her today."

The same voice from earlier

"Dude, what?"

"Kouji, come on. Why?"

"Why?! Because everyone's acting like she's shit! You saw how she shut me down earlier—in front of the teacher! Nah, I'm not letting that slide."

"Man, you seriously need to think this through—"

"I'm serious! I'm not scared of her. She's not the only one with an Eidolon!"

Kaito closed his locker.

Inside the dome, the teacher summoned his Eidolon.

Blue energy wrapped around him like mist, forming into a sharp, floating ring of light behind his back.

"This is stable resonance," he explained. "Control. Calm. Focus. That's what your Eidolons respond to."

One by one, students were asked to try.

Some barely managed a flicker. Some lost control and stopped before they embarrassed themselves.

Then Kouji stepped forward.

"I want to challenge someone."

The instructor frowned.

"Who?"

"Amane Hoshigawa."

The room shifted.

The teacher didn't say no. He just sighed.

"If you're sure."

The students cleared the floor immediately.

Amane moved toward the center of the mat with no hesitation, She reached behind her and calmly tied her hair up.

Kouji rolled his neck, his aura already rising—scarlet and uneven.

"Try not to act like you've already won, princess" he muttered. "That smile of yours is really starting to piss me off."

"Ready when you are, Kouji-san."

"Tch, bitch!"

His energy flamed around him, before projecting a wolf-looking beast out of aura...His Eidolon.

Amane made a small stretch with her hands before breathing in.

The ground beneath her split.

A giant glowing red hand erupted upward, catching the attack in midair.

The entire class flinched.

"What the hell is that?"

"She didn't even blink—"

Kouji growled, splitting his aura.

"DON'T GET SO COCKY!"

Three projections now, all rushing in from different angles.

Amane lifted her head.

"Two can play at that."

More hands burst from the floor—six… then eight—grabbing each projection and pinning them to the ground.

Kouji stood, frozen, his aura flickering wildly.

"You're pushing yourself too much," she said. "You should stop."

His Eidolon cracked and shattered.

He dropped to one knee, panting.

"That's enough. Class dismissed."

Kouji breathed heavily, cursing under his breath before slamming his fist to the ground..

"Damn it.."

His friends from earlier looked at him..

"Tch..told him not to do it."

"That move must have drained hell outta him."

Kaito just looked at him before his eyes glanced at Amane's retreating figure with her friends, chatting animatedly.

-

Rain had started falling by the time students exited the dome.

Great..just when i happened to be without my umbrella

A sigh escaped Kaito's lips

As the rain, fell on him he walked

Then he felt something shift above his head, the rain stopped falling? on him at least

An umbrella.

He looked to the side.

Amane stood beside him, holding it over both of them.

"You'd catch a cold," she said. "You can walk with me."

He looked at her

"Thanks.."

As they walked Kaito thought

Why is she..walking home alone.Would've thought she'd be swarmed with her friends or whatever.

Then, finally—

"How did you know we'd be heading the same way?"

She gave a soft laugh.

"Oh… I didn't really think about that.""Where do you live?"

He told her.

"That's not far from me," she said. "We can walk together until I turn off. You can keep the umbrella."

He looked at her for a moment, He didn't trust her.

Didn't understand her, But he walked anyway.

When they reached her turn, she handed him the umbrella.

"Bring it back tomorrow," she said. "I'll find you."

He took it from her as she started walking off

"See ya tomorrow." She waved

Kaito stood still, quiet in the rainless street.

The umbrella hung in his hand.

To be continued...
