Chapter 24 - The Tutor Who Kicks Down Doors

"You know, Mr. Bennett, if you wanted to borrow my tablet, you could've just asked." I smirked as Julian handed it back to me. Always better to keep your enemies closer, as they say.

"Just curious about what apps the boy uses," he replied with that fake smile I've perfected recognizing.

I watched him leave the library, his posture too rigid for someone supposedly making a casual visit. Something wasn't right. I tucked the tablet under my arm and decided to keep a closer eye on Leo's new tutor. Bennett seemed unusually interested in her failure.

Later that afternoon, I was reviewing household accounts in my office when I heard the commotion upstairs. Hurried footsteps, then a door slamming. Perfect timing—the tutor would be arriving soon. I smiled to myself. Leo's tantrums had broken six tutors already; this dyslexic charity case wouldn't last a day.
