Lyrus: Hmm. It's done.
Six large glass cylinder containers of a forged, recreated bloodline were made in his lab inside the mansion.
A golden blood (Lanfer), black blood (Sedestro), silvery blood (Vigil), white blood (Titus), frost blue blood (Ishvel), and flame red blood (Horus).
Lyrus took out all these containers for his beasts that were in the training grounds.
Lyrus: Everyone is diligently training. (He was satisfied with what he saw. Then he called them out.)
Everyone, stop what you're doing. I guess it's time to evolve everyone else.
Ishvel: Master. (He greeted.)
Ishvel just spoke.
Yes. They could now speak. For four years, he had experimented on them, trained them, enhanced them, and made them more intelligent. Now, all of them were capable of speech—and even knew how to read and write. But Lanfer and Vigil were only capable of telepathy. Their vocals were not capable of speech.
Lyrus: Time to level up, everyone. Consume this.
(Then he handed over the liquid he had made for months.)
Vigil: Will this evolve me into a humanoid form?
Lyrus: I cannot promise that. But I've done all I can to forge the bloodline to evolve all of you into humanoid forms—much more powerful than your current racial forms.
Vigil: Really?
Lyrus: Yeah. Consume it, everyone. After you evolve, we'll be going out to the Wildlands. I know all of you are already bored inside this city and mansion.
Everyone consumed it. When they did, their bodies started glowing and transforming in real time.
Lanfer became a 20-meter cocoon. Vigil, who had become a giant tarantula over the years, also became a ten-meter cocoon.
Ishvel was now covered in a block of ice.
Titus and Sedestro were now covered in thick black and white spheres.
And Horus was covered in hot crimson red spheres.
The aura radiating from them was also getting stronger.
Lyrus: This might take a while. (Lyrus stepped out of the training grounds and closed it.)
Then Lyrus covered the whole training grounds with his power of White. A river of white enclosed the entire area, isolating the energy radiating from them and masking their presence.
He then rested at his desk, looking at some data.
Mina: Sir, here's your coffee and snacks. (The maid.)
Lyrus: Thank you.
Mina bowed and went out.
Lyrus: Hmm. (He noticed that they were getting even stronger.)
If this continues, Ishvel might become a Legendary Rank soon, and the others will also become Overlords.
But the problem is, they lack proper wild combat.
(They had only tried fighting each other day by day. I also let them fight other beasts of other tamers for years, he thought.)
A while later, Lyrus went out with the truck and drove into the Beast Market.
Teo: You're back, young man. Do you need more beast meat this time?
Lyrus: Yeah, I do. Prepare me all your best quality meat today.
Teo: Sure. How much do you need?
Lyrus: Twice as much as last time.
Teo: Oh, that's quite a lot. Here, here—we have Overlord Beast meat here.
Lyrus: This is…
Teo: We got an Overlord Black Serpent from the Wildlands. This beast is quite large.
Lyrus: Yeah, it's colossal.
Teo: It took us two days to kill it.
Teo ran the largest Hunters Meat Shop in the beast market, and his products were top quality. He was also a Legend Rank powerhouse, with one Legendary Beast—a Tarfollio (Silver Kong).
Domas (Tarfollio): Sniff. Sniff. Hmm…
Lyrus: What's wrong, Domas? (Lyrus was bewildered at the sudden change in behavior.)
Teo: Hmm… Did one of your beasts just evolve into Legendary Rank or something?
Lyrus: What?
Teo: Beasts are very sensitive to presence. Domas noticed a strong presence in you. Did you just get another Legendary Rank beast aside from Lydia?
Lyrus: Umm… something like that. Ishvel and my other beasts are currently evolving.
Teo: Hmm… Ishvel is just a Beast Emperor… Seems like you had a fortunate encounter and made your beasts even stronger.
Lyrus: You could say that. Haha.
Teo was one of his mother's close friends in the city, so he knew Lyrus very well.
Teo: You're 19 now, right? I think it's time for you and your beasts to get proper experience in the wild. Ishvel's ability will degrade if he stays in the city.
Lyrus: Yes. I'm planning to venture outside the city together with my beasts—after they evolve.
Teo: Better. Come with us. Next week, we're going on a hunt. We've also got two interns with us.
Lyrus: Sure. (He had originally planned to go alone, but going with Teo and several hunters was better than going solo.)
Teo: Do you already have a hunter license?
Lyrus: I do.
Teo: Hunting is a lucrative business. Now that you've already graduated from high school—and with powerful beasts at your disposal—it's time to make money on your own. Don't rely on the money your mother left. Rearing beasts is so expensive. I know you're on the short end now.
Lyrus: Yeah… their appetite has gotten quite big.
Teo: Going into the wild makes everything free. The best place for training and experience is the wild itself.
Domas: Rip beast. Rip. Rooaar. (He was eating some of the serpent carcass in the corner.)
Teo: This beast of mine is already Legendary Rank, but it's still dumb—despite being capable of speech. Tsk tsk. I envy you. Ishvel is so intelligent that he can talk like a human. So, how much meat do you need?
Lyrus: A thousand kilograms.
Teo: Get me a thousand kilograms and load it onto Lyrus's truck. (He said to the workers.)
Lyrus: Do you also have fine meat—for me?
Teo: We only have boar this time. But it's still a Beast King delicacy. Here.
Lyrus: Wow. This is better than last time. Give me 20 of these.
Teo: Sure. Sure.
Lyrus finished his meat shopping and bid goodbye to Teo.
Teo: Monday, 7 AM—don't be late.
Lyrus: Yes. Thank you for today's meat.
Domas: Hoo. Hoo.
Lyrus drove back to his mansion and started preparing all the beast meat for his evolving beasts. Originally, he had taught his beasts how to cook their own food—but for today, he would be doing the cooking together with the cook, chef, helpers, and maids.
Horus: ROOOAAAR!!!
Horus had just finished evolving. All his Zoltaur traits were now gone. He had become a bulky humanoid demon, around 16 feet tall. His face was that of a fierce-looking human—handsome but frightening.
He had long orange hair, two large golden horns with crimson red tips, golden eyes, brown skin, a long large tail, and a pair of demonic wings. Regal in form.
He was naked, though fully human in form—so his male genitals had also transformed into that of a human.
Horus: Master! I'm bigger and stronger now! Look at this muscle! (He flexed his body proudly.)
Mina, Joana, Lily, Nida, Nely, and the cook Susan were all embarrassed by what Horus was doing. They weren't surprised that Horus had become a demon—but the fact that he was acting like a pervert, fully naked and flexing, was far too much.
After a while, Horus realized the situation—and became even more embarrassed than the women.
After all, they were all taught common sense these past few years… and so was he.
Lyrus: Get some clothes first. Haha. (Luckily, Lyrus had expected this, so he bought some high-quality suits—an automatic equip artifact suited for humanoid beasts, with or without wings. This was quite pricey, but he pulled it off with the help of Bill.)
Horus was hungry, so he started eating.
Then suddenly, a scary black-and-white woman emerged from the training grounds. White and black hair. Wearing a black elegant dress.
It was Vigil.
She was no longer a Webel, but now fully human in form. There were also six arms levitating beside her, and each of the levitating arm's palms had eyes. A terrifying aura was oozing out from her.
Vigil: Master. Hi-hi. I'm human in form now. Thank you, Master.
(Spooky and scary voice—the way she talked and acted.)
Lyrus: It's good that you've evolved. Now you're much stronger than before. But how did you evolve into this? I was expecting you would evolve into an arachnid or something, but you pulled off the impossible and became fully human in form. Good job. You did not disappoint me.
Vigil: Hihihi. I'm a genius, Master. I have awakened and obtained a terrifying power that I wanted—just like what you did to yourself, Master. And I'm a Legend Rank now.
Lyrus: Hmm. Good. My mother's notes and my lessons are bearing fruit now.
Vigil: Of course, we still need to beat the information out of that fox. Hehe. (Scary look.)
Lyrus: Okay, okay. I prepared some food for everyone—help yourself.
Vigil: Wow. Master doesn't disappoint. This meat is better than all the meat I've eaten so far.
(Now she was immersed in eating.)
The scary atmosphere also vanished.
But as they had just finished talking to Vigil and her darkest temperament, another terrifying presence emerged from the training ground.
A black ghost demon—or shadow devil.
He was fully human in form, all black with gold-lined tattoos all over his body and face. He also had two black horns. His smile and facial expression were like that of a devil.
Then suddenly, he vanished like smoke from the entrance of the training ground—and reappeared beside Lyrus. He kneeled with a devilish smile.
Sedestro: Master, I have successfully evolved. I have also awakened.
Lyrus: (Lyrus was scared out of his wits when he suddenly appeared beside him. Did I just create a devil…?)
Good job. I'm expecting a lot from all of you. Change into this.
(He handed the suit artifact.)
Sedestro: Oh my…
(He was embarrassed. He was also naked.)
Then Titus also came out.
He had become all white, like Lyrus, but his eyes were blue. He also had gold patterns on his body like Sedestro. And he had a white halo on the back of his head, designed like a thorny sun.
He looked like an elf—so handsome and tall. The only difference was that he was albino, much taller, and bulkier like all natural Djinns. Unlike the others, he appeared wearing conjured Djinn clothes. And he was levitating.
Titus: Master. (He greeted.)
Lyrus: Oh. You became quite like me.
(But Titus was much taller—around 8 feet—and bulky, like all natural Djinns.)
Growl.
His tummy just rumbled.
Lyrus: Haha. I guess you're hungry. Eat up.
After a while, Lanfer and Ishvel also came out of the training grounds.
Ishvel emerged as a stunning, handsome man with blue hair and a white complexion. He was now fully human in form—but he had another eye on his forehead, though it was closed. He also had a blue gem on his chest and blue horns from the sides of his ears, sweeping back to the rear of his head.
Meanwhile, Lanfer evolved into two individuals.
She still retained her Mother Swarm form—20 meters in size—but now she could fly. Gold and black armored carapace—much cooler looking now. She also had a large bladed back and two large yellow antennae.
She also had a humanoid body riding her beast form. Her humanoid body was elegant, with long golden-yellow hair and one golden horn on her forehead. Like Vigil, she equipped herself with an elegant dress in white and yellow—and pointed golden shoes.
Ishvel arrived, embarrassed because he was naked. Lyrus gave him one of those artifact suits.
Lanfer: I failed you, Master. I did not evolve truly into a humanoid form—but got a two-way evolution.
Lyrus: Hmm. Don't worry about that. You were originally a Queen Insect Beast with the trait of reproduction. This evolution of yours has already broken the norms. Now you've got both a body suited for swarm production—and a body capable of combat. This is not a failure. You succeeded beyond my expectations. Good job.
Lanfer: This… Thank you, Master.
Ishvel: Sorry for that bold display, Master. I'm very embarrassed.
Lyrus: Haha. Don't worry. You're not the only one who did that. Anyway—congratulations to all of you for this successful evolution.
Lyrus knew that Ishvel had become even stronger. His presence was so cold that the surroundings seemed to freeze. He had become like an embodiment of winter. And he had successfully learned to control his aura—it even felt like he had become more intelligent.
Ishvel, Vigil, and Sedestro successfully became Legend Rank beasts, while Lanfer, Titus, and Horus became Overlords. With this force, Lyrus had already become a Legend Rank powerhouse, just like his mother at such a young age. He was basically unstoppable now in the Tevera Continent, where only a few mythical beasts roamed the wild—mostly Legend Rank and below.
His mother had left the continent for exploration, and wherever that land was, it was much more dangerous than Tevera.
Lyrus suddenly remembered his mother's last memories. In that place, the fox was controlled against her. The reason Lydia didn't die was because Veronica made her unconscious—but her body was destroyed through her own blood. That was definitely the power of a Primordial Sovereign of one race. Veronica had used Lydia's remaining power within her body to activate a teleportation formation that sent her body—and Lydia—back to Tevera, near the wilderness of Bulgaria City in Culvary.
That's why he needed to get to the bottom of this. And to do that—he needed to get stronger.
To train his beasts, he had to reach the wilderness. Most of the beasts in the wilderness were under the control of nations. If a beast became a threat, they would purge them or thin out their population. But this was only the case for powerful individuals—not for A-Rank and below.
Lyrus felt that he had already reached a goal most people only dreamed about. These days, you only saw powerful beasts on the news. You no longer encountered them in the wild. Especially Mythical Beasts or Saint Beasts—and if you did, you'd be dead for sure. They were basically the rarest and almost non-existent in Tevera when it came to taming. But the Empire had a few Saint Beasts, and lots of powerful clans had Ancestral Lord Beasts, Mythical Beasts, and Legendary Beasts. They could only be raised by giving them enormous resources—resources only big clans had.
But Lyrus was special.
He had created a body that defied the norm and evolved his beasts through their own bodies—not through resources. But through his ability: White.
White alone already defied reality—the ability to create, reproduce, reanimate, transform, and evolve something out of nothing was already beyond normal.
The reason why he hadn't cut Lydia out from his spiritual realm yet was because she still had use. That fox was no longer the fox his mother once had—and he knew it.
Lyrus let his beasts familiarize themselves with their new forms and continue training. While waiting for Monday's departure, he also took new blood samples and holed himself up in his lab to re-evaluate everything.
Lanfer assisted him—she had become quite interested in the scientific field. So Lyrus made her his assistant in conducting experiments. But these experiments were focused on Lyrus's power, so they were not related to normal science. Lanfer also knew that fact.
He thought Lanfer wanted to develop her swarm reproduction trait, and that's why she wanted to learn from him—and extract some ideas from him. Well, Lyrus made this an opportunity for Lanfer's growth, so he taught her all the information he could, at least.
If Lanfer forged her own army, that would literally benefit him as well.
And another thing—he was someone who preferred using others rather than fighting himself. That's what a tamer was for. Even if you were weak—if your beasts could fight, then you were good. But this norm only worked in the city. In the wilderness, you needed strength of your own as well—or else, you were as good as dead.
That's why he created White.
So he could relax even in the wilderness. After all, this ability of his wasn't suited for direct battle—but he would be invincible and wouldn't be a burden to his beasts or companions once they were in the wild.
Lyrus: Did I just become a living ghost? Hahaha.
(He laughed as he passed the wall. And another thing—he really didn't need to eat to survive. He had clearly become a concept now—and already immortal.)
Most of his mother's notes that he studied—some of those ruins had myths about entities and gods who embodied a concept.
That was the reason why he developed himself into one. (The author does not want to reveal what concept he embodies.)
Which he succeeded in doing.
Whatever it is—it's reality-defying.
Lyrus: Hmm. What's Sedestro doing?
(He had just discovered Sedestro had become a mass of shadow and a reaper in the sky.)
Lyrus: This guy... did he just copy the nature of my power when he awakened—and recreated his own?
(His transformation would have been impossible without the power of White.)
Lyrus: Well, anyway... this is a good thing. But what concept did he embody? Darkness? Night? Void? Or Shadow? Well—anything is good.
(He smiled, then walked into his room to sleep.)
Then Vigil appeared, looking up at Sedestro—who flew above like a black angel or black devil in the sky.
She yawned.
Then, darkness compressed around her, and she vanished.
