Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 First Soul Skill

"Martial Soul Shift!"

Martial Soul Shift—what an unfamiliar term.

Not just in the Clear Sky Sect, but across the entire Douluo Continent, few Soul Masters would even think of such a concept.

Twin Spirits were something even more alien. No one knew how a Soul Master with Twin Spirits should fight, nor was there anyone who could teach him the techniques.

With a single thought, the enhancement effect of the Slaughter Soul Ring vanished, but due to momentum, Tang San's speed remained terrifyingly fast, shooting forward like a cannonball.

Facing the Mountain Moving Goblin's heavy punch, Tang San smirked. A beautifully crafted Clear Sky Hammer, adorned with a hundred-year Soul Ring, instantly appeared in his hand.

Tang San swung the Clear Sky Hammer straight at the Mountain Moving Goblin's fist—hammer against fist.

The Clear Sky Hammer wasn't small; its head was comparable in size to the Mountain Moving Goblin's fist.

The moment the hammer struck, everything changed. The Mountain Moving Goblin, who had initially held the overwhelming advantage in strength, suddenly felt as though it had struck a mountain.

With a deafening boom, the Mountain Moving Goblin's fist shattered instantly. The sound of bones breaking echoed endlessly as flesh and blood sprayed outward, fragments of bone scattering like shrapnel.

Under the Clear Sky Hammer's impact, the Mountain Moving Goblin's right fist exploded in a shower of dark red blood, pouring down like a storm. Tang San used the recoil to flip backward midair. In the next instant, the Clear Sky Hammer disappeared, and the crimson glow of the Slaughter Martial Soul reappeared. His body strengthened, legs slightly bending before launching him forward again, charging straight at the severely wounded Mountain Moving Goblin.

"ROAR!!"

The Mountain Moving Goblin howled in agony and fury. It had to admit it had severely underestimated this human. Initially thinking Tang San was just a mere Soul Master, it never expected him to have such a trick up his sleeve.

With a furious roar, the rocky protrusions on the Mountain Moving Goblin's shoulders suddenly lit up with earthen-yellow runes. In an instant, the ground surged like waves, dozens of sharp stone spikes bursting from the earth!

Tang San's feet moved with Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, each step precisely landing in the fleeting gaps between the shattering spikes. Fragments of rock grazed his cheeks like arrows, leaving behind a trail of blood.

"Chaotic Cloak Hammer Technique!"

The second hammer descended. Swinging the Clear Sky Hammer, Tang San moved with unstoppable force, majestic and imposing. Seizing the moment when the Mountain Moving Goblin's old strength had faded and new strength had yet to rise, he struck again.

Against this hammer, the Mountain Moving Goblin had no chance to dodge. It raised its injured right arm to block, but the outcome was predictable. Under the hammer's impact, it felt as though an entire mountain had crashed down upon it, utterly unable to withstand the Clear Sky Hammer's terrifying might.

With a heavy thud, the Mountain Moving Goblin was forced to one knee. In its death throes, it swung its left fist desperately at Tang San, who was still midair.

"First Soul Skill! Mountain Shattering Tremor!"

Knowing this was the Mountain Moving Goblin's last-ditch counterattack, Tang San held nothing back. His Soul Power surged forth, and his first Soul Ring erupted with intense light.

The moment the First Soul Skill activated, the Clear Sky Hammer's head became enveloped in a layer of earthen-yellow energy as it swung toward the Mountain Moving Goblin's fist.

Upon impact, the Clear Sky Hammer unleashed three expanding shockwaves of vibration. Alongside the overwhelming force, the tremors surged into the Mountain Moving Goblin's flesh and bones.

The first shockwave exploded with a boom, completely obliterating the Mountain Moving Goblin's left hand—like a watermelon placed in a microwave, bursting apart from the inside.

The second and third shockwaves surged straight into the Mountain Moving Goblin's body, the two ripples resonating and exploding violently within.

Tang San's First Soul Skill originated from a 450-year-old Earthshaking Yellow Ox. This type of Spirit Beast could unleash a special sonic attack capable of penetrating flesh, and the Clear Sky Hammer's First Soul Skill naturally possessed a similar effect.

To put it plainly, Tang San's First Soul Skill on the Clear Sky Hammer could bypass defenses, delivering both the hammer's devastating force and its armor-piercing effect.

A heavy thud echoed as the battle, which had lasted quite a while, finally reached its conclusion. In the end, the three-meter-tall Mountain Moving Goblin toppled like a fallen giant, crushing trees beneath its weight, its blood staining the soil red.

Tang San, too, fell from a height, lying on the ground as he gasped for breath, his Soul Power nearly depleted—after all, enhancing his Slaughter Martial Soul also consumed energy. His clothes were already in tatters, his body battered with multiple injuries from the Mountain Moving Goblin's strikes, some bones even fractured.

Yet, a bright smile still graced his face. Whether it was due to the influence of his Slaughter Martial Soul or not, the exhilaration of victory after such a brutal fight thrilled him.

Though Tang San had many methods to kill the Mountain Moving Goblin—Hidden Weapons, traps, poison—none of them held the same thrill as this direct, head-on clash. Only such a fierce, unyielding battle could truly embody slaughter!

After lying still for a while, Tang San retrieved a ginseng root the size of a pinky finger from his Storage Ring Soul Guidance Device, chewing it before slowly rising to his feet.

The Mountain Moving Goblin's Soul Ring hadn't appeared yet—even if its heart had been obliterated, its body could still cling to life for a few minutes. But death was inevitable.

"Come out, all of you. You've watched long enough, waited long enough." Tang San lightly brushed the dirt off his clothes, smiling leisurely.

His voice wasn't loud, but those who needed to hear it would.

Not long after he spoke, a group of people finally emerged from behind thick trees. They had hidden remarkably well—even a careful observer would struggle to spot them. Clearly, they had honed their concealment skills.

Seeing the masked figures in black, Tang San chuckled and remarked lazily, "Cowards who skulk in the shadows."

Insulted by his words, the masked Soul Masters narrowed their eyes, their expressions darkening. After all, they hadn't wanted to hide their faces either.

"Hmph, don't think just because you're from the Clear Sky Sect, you can act with impunity. This is the Sunset Forest, not your sect's territory," one of the masked men sneered.

Needless to say, they had recognized Tang San's Clear Sky Hammer and knew he had to be a disciple of the Clear Sky Sect.

If not for the sect's fearsome reputation, they would have already ganged up on him or ambushed him. Instead, they had to hide their faces and hesitate to act.

"You may be a Clear Sky Sect disciple, but you're just a one-ring Soul Master. Hand over the Mountain Moving Goblin's Soul Ring, and we won't harm you," one of them demanded.

Their group had come to hunt Spirit Beasts, aiming to help a member reach level 20 and obtain his second Soul Ring. The Mountain Moving Goblin had been their target.

Clearly, they hadn't expected a one-ring Soul Master like Tang San to defeat a thousand-year Mountain Moving Goblin, assuming it had only been a hundred-year creature.

"We don't want the Soul Ring, but the ores in the Mountain Moving Goblin's cave belong to us." The other stronger team had their eyes set on the goblin's dwelling instead.

Mountain Moving Goblins would move rocks and stones for training, but they didn't move just any ordinary rocks. They specifically selected ores containing special energy, transporting them into their caves to enhance their cultivation.

The Spirit Beast skill it had just used to attack Tang San was cultivated precisely through these energy-rich ores.
