Hot spring

Hot Spring Description

(Scaled for Vulkarion Blazeclaw with Correct Species Anatomy)

Location Name: Skyforge Serenity Spring

Environment Type: High-Mountain Titan-Class Thermal Basin

Size and Layout:

Radius: 260–300 meters wide to fit a dragon measuring 72 meters tall with wings fully open

Depth down: 55–95 meters at its center, deep enough for a titan-forged dragon's broad chest and belly to submerge while keeping head and shoulders above water without neck overextension

Shape: Oval with reinforced volcanic stone ledges lining the interior for balance, naturally smoothed by geothermal activity

Water Characteristics:

Temperature: Stable 55–62°C, focused around central heat vents

Color: Deep azure with streaks of molten-gold and silver visible beneath the surface from Tech-infused mineral content

Steam: Dense rolling mist, swirling heavily at shoulder height for Vulkarion, hiding much of his lower body while keeping his upper torso visible

Scent: Metallic with an undercurrent of scorched stone and faint ozone

Surroundings:

Terrain: Sheer black volcanic cliffs on one side and glacier-packed stone walls on the other, forming a wind-protected thermal pocket

Vegetation: Minimal—glowing moss veins and frost crystals adhering to rocks rather than plants or trees

Wildlife: Occasional sky-serpents and storm hawks circling above, otherwise eerily silent

Titan-Class Adaptations:

Depth and size designed for dragons with short, broad necks like Vulkarion. The pool's slope allows him to rest without needing to crane or arch his neck uncomfortably

His positioning:

Neck: Anchored low and broad into his shoulders, naturally upright without needing to stretch to keep his head above water

Shoulders and upper back: Remain mostly above waterline

Belly, flanks, and wings: Fully submerged up to the chest, wings spread or folded along the surface for balance

Rest ledges positioned at an optimal height beneath the water for his forelegs and hind legs, allowing him to stabilize without putting strain on his joints
