"The national system of the Fourth Epoch?"
"That might be better, or there might be other problems, but we know this is impractical."
"Gentlemen, do you have any other suggestions?"
Audrey smiled helplessly.
Mr. "Angel" always liked to say things that sounded useful but couldn't solve practical problems.
Xia Ai'er didn't continue to answer the question; what else could he say? Suggest that the Loen Kingdom give emerging intellectuals a chance to do things? Or applaud and support the people's freedom to starve?
"This is a simple question."
Seeing no one answer, Klein smiled confidently; this was his familiar territory.
He introduced the civil service examination system.
Audrey thought carefully, and even Alger, who was not interested in this topic, listened attentively.
Through their questions and answers, the group helped Loen formulate a rough blueprint. Klein also made significant contributions to Benson's success and George III's apotheosis ritual.
"This is truly a good idea."
"Mr. Fool, you must be a wise, experienced, and extraordinarily capable elder."
The blonde girl praised him sincerely.
Mr. Fool's eyelid twitched.
"Indeed, this kind of vision, thinking from the perspective of the entire kingdom, is not something everyone can possess."
"If I didn't know it was highly unlikely, I would have thought you led a vast nation."
Xia Ai'er also flattered him.
Is this praising me or mocking me?
What do you mean, 'you know it's highly unlikely'?
Klein was very depressed, yet Xia Ai'er's tone was as if he were saying, 'How could a mysterious figure like you be involved with worldly power?'
Yes, a great figure like Mr. Fool, no matter how one thinks about it, is different from a king or a prime minister.
The problems they couldn't think of, Mr. Fool quickly provided simple solutions. Audrey, you must not underestimate Mr. Fool again.
The blonde girl gently patted her cheek. She had met kings, prime ministers, and archbishops of the Church, but she had never met a great figure as mysterious and wise as Mr. Fool before.
Mr. Fool's identity was probably even more terrifying than she imagined.
"Let's end this gathering here."
Klein looked at the three people, who were all clearly overthinking, and he suppressed his embarrassment to announce the end of the gathering.
He actually didn't mind these members overthinking, but if you're going to overthink, just overthink; don't say it out loud!
"As you command." x3
Xia Ai'er also stood up and bowed.
He then communicated with his Crimson Star, his spiritual body illusory and shattered, and his consciousness began to return.
...
Fourth Epoch.
Elf settlement.
Xia Ai'er looked at the golden chain in his hand, somewhat silent. With one hand, he held Arrodes, borrowing the power of the Calamity characteristic sealed within it, and with the other hand, he squeezed hard, and lightning flashed.
This lowest-grade Sealed Artifact was pulverized, but it didn't re-coalesce into a Beyonder characteristic. Instead, it turned into Gray Mist and returned to the mists of history.
"What is this?"
Xia Ai'er muttered silently, looking at his empty right hand.
Of course, he understood; wasn't this just a historical void image?
Items sacrificed in the Fifth Epoch couldn't truly reach the Fourth Epoch; could only a historical void image be projected over?
Does Sefirah Castle also have the ability to borrow power from the future and summon historical projections?
Does the Celestial Worthy have this ability?
Xia Ai'er recalled his memories before transmigrating; he hadn't seen the three Beyonder Pathways of the Fool use it this way.
Was this something Sefirah Castle originally had? Or did his transmigration help Sefirah Castle unlock it?
What use is this ability to me?
Xia Ai'er looked at the magic mirror beside him and asked:
"Arrodes, what do you think?"
"Xia Ai'er, I have a feeling."
Arrodes said with some hesitation.
"Just say whatever. In the future timeline, I'm just a small fry with dual Sequence 9."
"If it's just the ability to summon historical projections, I really don't know how the future can help my present."
Xia Ai'er shrugged. He knew that the Fourth Epoch was a golden age for development, but if the future couldn't provide help to the present... it was a bit of a loss.
No matter what, he didn't believe that this bug couldn't be exploited somehow, right?
"Xia Ai'er, can you do it again?"
Arrodes's mirror surface showed Xia Ai'er's previous actions.
"Theoretically, yes."
"Wait a moment."
Xia Ai'er's figure vanished in a swirling gust of wind. When he returned, a misty heart appeared in his hand.
This was a Sequence 3 Scholar of Yore characteristic, from the deceased Demonic Wolf race, and was one of the Elf Treasury's collections.
Xia Ai'er used this Beyonder characteristic to grab at the void, trying to summon the golden chain he had just possessed again.
His palm grasped empty air, as if he were just grabbing at nothing, without that feeling of connecting to the mists of history.
"I did possess it."
He thought for a moment.
"Could it be that the summoned historical projection cannot be a historical void projection?"
"Does having come into contact with a historical projection of a Sealed Artifact not count as having possessed that Sealed Artifact?"
"But I didn't have it in the Fourth Epoch; I had it in the Fifth Epoch."
Xia Ai'er grabbed again, still grasping empty air.
He tried to summon the Sea King characteristic he had consumed. Although difficult, after several failures, he still summoned a Sequence 3 level Beyonder characteristic.
"Lacking the power of Sefirah Castle?"
"Summoning things from the future requires future..."
Xia Ai'er tried to inscribe his fortune-transferring runes with spirituality in his mind. He began to set up a prayer ritual pointing to the Gray Mist.
Inside the Gray Mist space, the "Crimson Star" symbolizing "Xia Ai'er" began to flicker. The arrangements left within automatically responded, processing this message for the offline "Fool."
In the real world, after the ritual magic succeeded, Xia Ai'er summoned a historical projection again. This time, he easily summoned the item from the future.
"Arrodes, do you need me to pulverize this Sealed Artifact again?"
Xia Ai'er stopped the prayer ritual and asked, playing with the chain in his hand.
"Yes, I want to try if I can intervene to some extent."
The gem-like eyes on both sides of the "Magic Mirror" lit up.
"Then let's try."
"Just pulverize it directly."
"Anyway, the Calamity characteristic is also with you."
Xia Ai'er briefly recalled the process of pulverizing the Beyonder characteristic for the first time. Although he had some guesses, he was ultimately not a demigod of the White Tower Pathway and didn't discover any obvious abnormalities.
The mirror surface of "Arrodes" reflected the Calamity characteristic sealed within. The lightning bursting from the mirror surface pulverized the Sealed Artifact.
After the Sealed Artifact (historical projection) was pulverized, it should have turned into Gray Mist and returned to the mists of history.
But the surface of the "Magic Mirror" glowed with silver light, enveloping this portion of Gray Mist, drawing it into the mirror's interior, and severing its connection with the outside world.
