The Fragmented Realm
The world was not as it had been.
Mo Tian's steps echoed louder with each passing moment. Reality itself seemed to crack beneath his presence, like a fragile illusion being shredded by the black vortex within him.
He had devoured Zhen Lu'er, the Singer of Silent Worlds, and in the process, he had inherited her most dangerous ability: the devouring of concepts.
But the power was growing unstable.
---
The Eternal Hourglass
Mo Tian stood in front of a ruined temple. It floated in the sky, suspended within a swirling maelstrom of time. This was no ordinary temple. This was the Eternal Hourglass, a sacred site once revered by the greatest cultivators of time.
Before him, an ancient door opened, revealing a chamber where time itself twisted like a living entity.
And there, sitting calmly amidst the chaos of the flow of ages, was the second Seed.
> "Come," the Seed said, her voice soft but commanding. "I've been expecting you."
Mo Tian's eyes narrowed. She was unlike anyone he had encountered. Her form was almost ethereal, her body made of constantly shifting sand, as though she was both here and elsewhere.
Her name was Yuan Zhen, the Time Weaver, a cultivator whose Dao was that of temporal manipulation—the ability to twist time itself, to break and reverse its flow, and even to control the future.
---
The Battle of Broken Time
Mo Tian stepped forward, his shadow stretching as if the darkness within him was eating the very moment.
> "You are one of the Seeds," Mo Tian said, his voice echoing with a thousand layers of intent. "I will devour you like the rest."
> "Do you think you can?" Yuan Zhen replied, a serene smile on her face. "Time is not a concept you can consume… It is the very fabric that holds existence together."
As she spoke, the world around them began to distort. The temple cracked, and the stars in the sky began to rewind, looping back in time, moving in reverse.
> "Time is an endless loop," she said. "It can devour all things… including your Dao."
Mo Tian's pupils gleamed.
> "So be it."
In an instant, his Devouring Dao surged forward. But instead of consuming physical energy, it devoured the flow of time itself.
---
The Battle of Eternity
The effect was immediate. Time began to fracture.
One second, Yuan Zhen stood before him. The next, she was years in the past, standing at the gates of an ancient temple.
Mo Tian watched as the future unfolded before his eyes.
> She is manipulating time to escape the present.
But as she tried to flee into the past, Mo Tian's Devouring Dao struck. He was no longer bound by time. He was a Devourer of All. Even time was just another form of existence for him to consume.
> Time is no longer an ally of yours, Mo Tian thought as he extended his hand.
The world shook.
The sky broke apart. The temple collapsed into a thousand different eras, each fragmented like pieces of a broken puzzle.
Yuan Zhen was caught in the middle, her body flickering between ages, never fully existing in the present.
But Mo Tian did not stop. He reached forward and grabbed her future, pulling her essence from every point in time and drawing it toward him.
> "You are nothing but a memory now," Mo Tian said coldly. "And memories… are for me to devour."
---
The Unraveling of Time
In that instant, Yuan Zhen screamed.
Her sand-like body began to break apart as the time that had once bound her was consumed by Mo Tian's Dao. The pieces of her scattered, trapped in multiple timelines, each shredded by his power.
She was no longer a Seed.
She was a moment lost forever.
---
A Devouring Never Before Seen
As Yuan Zhen's essence crumbled, something shifted within Mo Tian. His body surged with an unimaginable power. He felt time itself bow to him, bend, and ultimately submit.
He stood alone now, his eyes glowing with a darkness that could no longer be contained by mere concepts of time, space, or even fate.
> "One Seed down," Mo Tian whispered.
---
The Fracturing of Fate
But with the second Seed devoured, something unexpected happened.
The world around him began to crumble. The fabric of fate began to tear. The cracks in the sky were no longer just symbolic—they were literal.
> "It is too late," Shi Yue spoke from behind him. "By devouring her, you've broken something deeper… something that even you cannot control."
The space around them distorted, and the ground beneath their feet began to fall apart, dragging them toward a bottomless pit of swirling shadows.
> "What is happening?" Mo Tian demanded.
> "You've consumed too much," Shi Yue said, her eyes filled with sorrow. "You've devoured the future itself, and now you've created an emptiness where nothing can grow."
Suddenly, a voice echoed from the very core of the void.
> "You dare devour time itself?"
From the endless abyss, a figure emerged—a shadow, clothed in absolute silence, with eyes that could devour Mo Tian's very soul.
> "I am the Timekeeper. And you have crossed a line that even I cannot allow."
---
The Timekeeper's Challenge
The figure was not a Seed.
He was something older. Something deeper.
He was the last remnant of Time, and he had come to stop Mo Tian.
