The rain tapped lightly against the tinted windows of the black car as it slowed to a stop outside the towering iron gates of the academy. The silence inside the vehicle was only broken by the distant hum of the engine.

Renjiro stared blankly ahead. His dull gray eyes reflected the wrought-iron school sign: Kyosei Academy. A prestigious institution, known not only for academic excellence but for secrets buried deeper than anyone could guess.

He stepped out, his black boots crunching softly against the damp gravel. With messy dark-blue hair falling slightly over his left eye, and a long, worn coat swaying with his steps, he looked like someone who didn't belong — and that's exactly how he felt.

A rough voice called out as he passed through the hallway. A group of uniformed boys leaned against the lockers, smirking. But Renjiro didn't stop. He didn't speak. His silence made them uneasy.

He was the new transfer student, but not by choice.

"Oi, transfer kid."

A rough voice called out as he passed through the hallway. A group of uniformed boys leaned against the lockers, smirking. But Renjiro didn't stop. He didn't speak. His silence made them uneasy.

"Tch, think you're better than us?"

He turned slightly — just enough for one of them to meet his cold, unreadable gaze. No words. No emotion. Just a presence.

The group fell quiet as he walked past.

In his new classroom, he was placed at the back — next to the window. Classic. His seatmate, a girl with bright silver hair and sharp violet eyes, turned to him with a curious smile.

"You're Renjiro, right?" she asked.

He didn't reply.

She leaned a little closer, whispering, "I heard this school only accepts those with... potential."

Still no response. But for the first time, Renjiro blinked — slowly.

What they didn't know was this:

Renjiro wasn't sent here to study.

He was sent to be watched.

And not just by students...

Far beyond the school walls, something ancient stirred. A hidden war was quietly raging in the shadows of the world. And Renjiro — whether he liked it or not — was its unwilling heir.

By the end of that first day, three students had mysteriously gone missing.

No one connected it to the new transfer.

No one dared.

But she — the girl with violet eyes — whispered as he passed:

"You've arrived, haven't you? The one who sees what we can't."

And for the first time, Renjiro's lips parted — barely — to speak just one word:

"Yes."

To be continued...
