Apocalyse: Marked by Chaos

A deafening howl tore through the battlefield. The Octopus monster rose from the rubble, its soulless black eyes filled with madness. Olivia could barely stand. Her team was on the brink of death. And then… something moved. The tiny snake sank his fangs into the Bowolf’s cores. A surge of energy exploded. Wings of pure fire unfurled, its golden eyes blazed. A dragon had risen. But one fatal mistake… He fell. Something inside Olivia snapped. A roar ripped from her throat as flames consumed her. The sky cracked apart, and then… [SYSTEM WARNING!] [The Fire of Chaos has been activated.] [Continued use will lead to destruction] But Olivia wasn’t stopping. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thirty years ago, the world ended.  Unknown monsters descended upon the earth, plunging it to ruins. But with the destruction came a blessing or rather a curse.  The System. Now, humans wield superpowers, battling the creatures that threaten their existence. The last survivors formed factions, fighting to stay alive. But survival is a cruel game of fate. Every year, the system selects a group of unwilling teenagers  by lottery- to fight, to die. Olivia never asked for any of this. Betrayed by her family, forced to fight, she was left for dead. Until fate intervened. Until she met him. Little White, the small, snake-like creature at her side, is hiding secrets far greater than she imagined. When death closed in, his truth unraveled, along with something even darker inside Olivia—power, overwhelming and untamed. The Fire of Chaos is burning inside her, and if she doesn’t learn to control it…. She’ll destroy everything. Survival is just the beginning. The real war is yet to come.

Shadow Slave | Sleepless Dreamer

Set in the Shadow Slave world...a time before Sunny was born...this story follows a simple soldier who must survive in a dystopian, apocalyptic landscape where magic and gun warfare collide. In a far-off Quadrant known as North America, a young soldier named Hope is 16 years old when he gets infected by the Nightmare Spell. He passed! But...he feels a bit scammed...? A flaw that makes him fade from people's memories... A cursed attribute that makes him remember everything endlessly in eternal wakefulness... It's as if the Spell is twisting his future and existence into an almost improbable one. All he has ever known his purpose to be was to serve as a simple soldier. Not too powerful. But not so weak either. And maybe, just maybe like some others, become an Awakened. Although he never dreamt of being one. Now that his whole life is compromised after his First Nightmare, his first objective is to survive on his own. But as he tries to escape his fate, his actions seem to lead him further from his goal. He struggles against obstacles that slowly grow bigger and out of proportion. Maybe the Dream Realm and the Real World aren't so different than one may think. Hope's journey involves uncovering secrets and gaining knowledge about his true nature and his new role in the world. Is he fit to be a hero? Could he redefine it? *** Please read the READER DISCLAIMER in Volume 0. This is my spin-off novel of "Shadow Slave" by Guiltythree. But please don't expect the same writing style, setting, and characters, especially the main character. This story reveals more about how people/cities/governments operate after the Spell’s arrival. I always find it interesting how maybe one country handles it fairly, but how others handle it with desperation to the point that you question humanity. There will be easter eggs pointing to the original novel either intentional for the plot or unrelated to it, but all for fun. I am a new author so props to all who bear with me and helps me improve my writing. If it is not for you, please don't leave outright hate comments. Eat wassabi instead if you want pain. Critique and advice would be great too. Cover Art: @ellieaedon I will be posting on RoyalRoad.com and on AO3 for some people's preferences.

Care & Chaos: A Guide to Raising Baby Spiders

Ari has always dreamed of something simple: to be wanted. To be loved not for what she could do, but simply for who she was. In the real world, she’s invisible—overlooked, unheard, and always second to her mother’s affection for her brothers. When life becomes too heavy, she escapes into webnovels where lonely girls find families, magical powers awaken overnight, and someone always says, “I choose you.” One night, someone—or something—answers. Ari wakes in a world ruled by gods and ancient bloodlines, where power whispers in her bones and fate seems to have plans of its own. For the first time, she’s not just the forgotten daughter. She might be someone extraordinary. But even in a magical world, love isn’t simple. And power? It always comes at a price. As Ari begins to unravel the mystery of her new life and what sleeps within her, she’s faced with a choice: chase the love she’s always yearned for, or forge her own future—one where she finally learns what it means to love or at least accept herself. Author's Note Hi! I’m the author of Ari’s story. First, I want to be honest—I struggled a lot with writing the synopsis for this book. I know how important a good blurb is. As a reader, I rely on it to decide whether a story will speak to me, and I wanted mine to do justice to the journey I’m telling. But after rewriting it too many times, it started to feel like a wall I couldn’t climb. So instead, I chose to move forward. To sit down every day and write. To let the story breathe rather than trap it in endless drafts. I publish because if I don’t, I’ll keep rewriting the same chapter or synopsis forever. This book is my heart. I want it to be warm, fluffy, and healing. I want it to make you laugh. I want you to feel comforted and seen. I hope that by the end of it, you leave with a smile—and maybe a quiet truth tucked into your chest. So thank you for picking up this book. It means more than I can say. – With love, Nova Weaver

Chancellor to an Undead University

Chancellor to an Undead University When a reality-bending "Awakening" rips through Atheria University, engulfing the campus in a tide of flesh-hungry "Blighted" and unleashing bizarre, terrifyingly mutated creatures, ordinary student Axel finds himself in an extraordinary predicament. It's not just the zombie apocalypse he has to worry about – a mysterious, game-like Sovereign System has just activated in his mind, inexplicably designating him "Acting Chancellor" of the now decidedly Undead University. Armed with a sharp, sarcastic wit, a fire extinguisher that’s seen better days, and a System that offers cryptic advice and a surprising talent for urban planning amidst chaos, Axel must navigate the blood-soaked halls and shadowy underbelly of his alma mater. His first mission: survive. His second: figure out what being a "Chancellor" in hell actually means. From securing a tiny, fortified operations room in a campus security sub-station to braving monster-infested maintenance tunnels in search of vital resources, Axel's new "job" is a crash course in extreme crisis management. Every shadow could hide a new horror, from the relentless Blighted to agile, Awakened monstrosities. But he’s not entirely alone. The discovery of a hand-drawn map and its resourceful, wary creator, Mia, offers the first spark of hope – a sign that other survivors might be out there. As Axel begins to utilize his unique Chancellor-level System abilities – like "Domain Awareness" and the power to slowly reclaim and rebuild parts of the sprawling 5000-acre campus – the dream of creating a true sanctuary, a beacon of order in a world gone mad, begins to take root. "Chancellor to an Undead University" follows Axel's journey from bewildered student to unlikely leader. Facing down grotesque horrors, forging uneasy alliances, and using his intellect (and a healthy dose of gallows humor) to outsmart both the undead and the unpredictable nature of his new powers, he aims to transform Atheria from a charnel house into a thriving haven. As word of his burgeoning settlement spreads, attracting a diverse cast of skilled (and often predominantly female) survivors seeking refuge and respect, Axel will learn that building a kingdom is even harder than slaying monsters – especially when navigating the complexities of leadership, budding romances, and the ever-present threat of a world determined to tear it all down. Get ready for a thrilling mix of system-driven progression, strategic kingdom-building, intense action, unexpected humor, and a touch of drama, all set against the unique backdrop of a university fighting for its very soul.
