The fact that I was in a fancy hospital didn’t change the fact that I was, well, in a hospital.
I had no idea how long it took us to travel from Drogomor to Celestial City because the sleep I was getting was messing with my grasp of time.
The healers back on Drogomor, in an effort to make me as comfortable as possible, decided it would be best to equip me with some powerful potions that were supposed to numb pain as well as knock me out for several hours at a time. While it was effective in doing both, it left me feeling like I was in some strange dream for the duration of the entire trip.
Only one thing kept me grounded as I woke with a heavy and dizzying sensation and that was Jasper. Every time I woke up, he was there, holding my hand and ready with the stunning smile that I had fallen in love with.
