*Daphne*
My eyes snapped open, and I felt around on the bed.
“Rion, wake up!” I turned over and shook him.
“Wha--what’s wrong?” he grumbled. “Ugh, why is the bed soaked?”
“My water broke. I’m going into labor.”
“Okay, let me get the overnight bags!” he hollered.
“Finally! Let’s go!”
He helped me to the car and sent word to Eva to watch the twins. It wasn’t until I was in the car that the first contractions hit.
“Ooohhh! Owww!” I clutched my stomach.
“Go, go!” Rion shouted to the driver. “Don’t worry, Daphne. We’ll be at the hospital in less than ten minutes.
I groaned and nodded. He took my hands, and I squeezed as tightly as I could.
“Feel better?” he ground out.
I nodded and breathed heavily.
From the car to the hospital room, it was all a blur. All I could focus on was the pain as my contractions came faster and faster.
“This baby is coming now!” I cried.
Healers and their nurses swirled around.
