"No, not really," Audia answered quickly, trying to divert attention from her thoughts, which were indeed preoccupied with the presence of Laras's parents.
Audia didn't want to meet Laras's parents after what had happened in the past between them. However, she also didn't want to disappoint Alvin, who had helped prepare everything for that evening's event.
"Didi, you must be worried about meeting Laras's parents, right?" Alvin repeated gently.
"Yes, Didi is a little worried," Audia admitted honestly, finally. Tho, there was no point in lying.
"But Didi has to remember that we're already living a better future together. And Didi has already become a great mother to our children," Alvin said as he hugged Audia tightly.
"Besides, Laras is married now, Di. Her parents wouldn't bring that up again, Darling." Alvin chuckled at Audia's relieved expression.
Alvin thought, maybe, for a moment, Audia forgot that Laras had returned to Indonesia with her husband and child.
