Freen's POV: The Lingering Dream and a Crucial Clue
"Freen, what are you doing there? The director's been looking for you." I was pulled back to reality when Kade called me.
"What happened? Why are you looking so pale?" Kade asked with a concerned look on her face.
"I... ah... ahm... I'm okay. I'm going with you now..." I said, still trembling from what I'd just seen.
"Are you sure? We can talk to the director if you're not feeling well, Freen. We're all getting worried seeing you look so stressed out and always out of it. You can always take leave, especially now that a lot has happened, and you're exhausted emotionally and mentally." I just looked Kade in the eyes and nodded, grateful for her concern. "I'll be fine, Kade. Let's go," I said, trying to push aside the disturbing images that continued to haunt me.
Kade sighed, deciding to stop pushing the issue. Instead, she walked with me towards the director's office. I knew I couldn't keep ignoring my mental and emotional state for much longer.
But I had a feeling this whole thing that's happening now was connected to my vivid dreams, and I had to do something about it. I needed to know the truth; something was off. I was missing something.
And Mr. On's killer and Blew's attacker were still out there. I wouldn't stop until I solved this case.
Because if this whole thing was connected, everyone around me might be at risk too.
But what if I was wrong? What if all this was just in my mind?
Ugh. Freen, think.
What should I do to make this whole thing make sense?
All of this started when we began this film project from this noble.
I think I knew now where I should start.
But I needed to find Tee first; if she's really gone, then there's something going on.
"Freen, have you found Tee?" Becky suddenly approached us, panting, along with other staff.
"Becky, why are you so upset? What happened? Why are you all looking worried?" Kade asked, concern evident in her voice.
"We can't find Tee anywhere," Becky replied, her eyes wide with fear. "We think something might have happened to her."
"Are you sure? But she was just with you this morning?" Kade asked, her brow furrowed in confusion.
"Yes, she was, but now she's nowhere to be found," Becky responded, her voice trembling slightly.
"I'm sure she's just out there having a good time, some girls. Why are you all so worried? Let's try calling her phone and checking the places she usually goes to," Jim suggested, trying to reassure Becky and the rest of the staff.
"We can't reach her phone, and we've already checked all her usual hangout spots with no luck," Becky added, her worry becoming more evident. "I think we should call the police and file a missing person report," Becky suggested, concern etched on her face.
"When was the last time you saw her?" I now asked, my own concern growing as well. "Let's make sure we have all the information before involving the authorities."
"I last saw her when she accidentally spilled some coffee on Becky's supposedly outfit for the photoshoot, and she said she's going to try to clean it, but until now she's nowhere to be found," a staff member chimed in, providing a crucial detail that could help me figure out what's been on my mind since earlier.
"What outfit?" I asked, just to make sure.
"The black D&G dress," the staff member said.
Damn. It was the dress I saw in my dream that Tee sold to Irin, that Irin suggested Becky wear to the party.
"Maybe we should check the security footage to see if she left the building," a staff member suggested, hoping for a clue to her whereabouts.
"This mansion is so old. There's no such thing installed in this mansion," Director Nuttapong chimed in.
"This is the reason why I called you all for a meeting, but all of you decided to be stuck in this hallway instead of coming to me," he added.
"I'm sorry, Director," we all said in unison.
"We'll head to your office right away," another staff member replied, eager to discuss the situation further.
"No need. The fact is, we already called the police. My producers and I just talked earlier about this matter. We want you all to strictly follow the instructions of the police when they arrive," Nuttapong instructed firmly. "Let's all remain calm and cooperate fully with the authorities to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. And most importantly, we all want you to keep this matter inside this circle, inside this mansion, until further notice. We need to maintain confidentiality and handle this situation discreetly to avoid any unnecessary attention or speculation from the public." "We will update you all as soon as we have more information, but for now, let's focus on staying safe and following the authorities' instructions," Nuttapong added before ending the meeting. "Remember, our priority is everyone's safety and well-being during this time."
"And no one leaves the mansion until everyone's alibi and statement have been reviewed and confirmed by the authorities. Let's all work together to ensure a smooth and secure resolution to this situation."
I understood everyone's panic reaction, but what I was more interested in was a particular person who I thought could possibly answer my questions.
I saw him.
As everyone was now going back to their assigned rooms, I followed Mr. Cutie.
"Mr. Cutie, I need to talk to you." Mr. Cutie stopped.
Mr. Cutie turned, his expression curious. "Freen, what's up?"
"I need to ask you something," I said, my voice low. "About Tee's disappearance."
His eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?"
"What do you know about the black D&G dress and Tee's appearance?" I asked.
Mr. Cutie's eyes flickered. "Just that Becky was supposed to wear it for the photoshoot?"
"I saw it in my dream," I revealed.
Mr. Cutie's expression changed.
"Let's talk privately."
