"Where's Mikaela?" This was Muria's main concern now. When he saw the super-sized Cloud City descending from the sky, he was elated. But instead of Mikaela, her brother Ilvister appeared, looking murderous.
What a sight! His brother-in-law looked furious, and Muria was also filled with anger. His high expectations were shattered by the appearance of someone he wasn't hoping for. Could there be anything more frustrating?
Seeing the eight-winged male Seraphim descend at full speed, seemingly intent on piercing through Synapse, Muria spread his golden dragon wings and shot up into the sky, refusing to back down.
Boom!
Muria, wielding his Trident of Hell, clashed with Ilvister, who held a legendary spear. The collision of their legendary weapons sent a mixed wave of golden and crimson energy rippling out, causing the clouds below to churn and revealing the snowy ground beneath.
"Muria!" The handsome Seraphim's face was full of anger, and Muria, just ten meters away, could clearly feel his fury. But this only confused him more.
Yes, your sister is now with me, living together. Muria could understand the anger of an overprotective brother, but hadn't they resolved this five years ago? Wasn't he already convinced back then? Why was he still so angry after five years?
"What are you doing?" Muria's golden eyes met those of his brother-in-law, who was burning with Seraphim fire, his own body surrounded by intense dragon flames and golden thunder, showing no signs of backing down.
"It's all because of you!" Ilvister's eight wings spread out, Seraphim fire coalescing into arrows that shot towards Muria while also forming eighteen chains that twisted and snaked towards him.
"What did I do?" Muria asked in bewilderment while his actions didn't slow down. His Demon Slayer Sword and Seven Sins Blade turned into two beams that tore through space, shattering all oncoming arrows while his Nebula Chains jingled, sealing all space and resisting the Seraphim fire chains.
"Because of your influence, Mikaela awakened prematurely, preventing her from reaching her most perfect state of ascension."
The valiant Seraphim shouted at Muria, his spear swinging down fiercely, filled with the anger of a doting brother. The kilometer-long spear light cut through the sky, an attack capable of shattering mountains and turning the earth into an abyss.
"What did you say?" Muria, stunned by the news, momentarily froze and took a direct hit from Ilvister, sending his massive body plummeting. The friction with the atmosphere produced a golden fire trail, creating a long conical vacuum path that seemed to connect heaven and earth.
"What's wrong with Mikaela? Is she okay?" Just before crashing into Synapse, Muria reacted, flapping his wings and soaring back up, asking Ilvister anxiously.
"She's fine, but she prematurely ended her slumber right after advancing to legend. She was supposed to awaken in fifteen years with greater power, but now she only reached legend. It's all your fault for influencing and tempting her into making such an unwise decision."
"As long as she's okay!" Hearing that Mikaela had merely ended her slumber early and didn't suffer any other consequences, Muria breathed a sigh of relief. Then he felt the pain from his injured internal organs, although it was quickly healing.
"What's good about it?" Hearing Muria's cheerful response, Ilvister became even more enraged. He had never been happy with his sister's engagement to an outsider, and now this response infuriated him further.
Clang! Muria's trident collided with Ilvister's spear again, sending out another fierce shockwave. Under the sky, centered on their battle zone, the sky was clear for miles around.
"You're blaming Mikaela's premature awakening entirely on me? You're her brother; don't you bear any responsibility?" Muria's anger rose as he understood the situation. Mikaela's premature awakening was indeed influenced by him, but he couldn't take all the blame.
"Still shirking responsibility!" Ilvister roared in fury.
"I do have some responsibility, but don't you bear any?" Muria, wielding his trident, clashed continuously with Ilvister, their powerful attacks sweeping in all directions like a natural disaster, the aftermath of their battle causing chaos.
"Stop arguing. I can't interfere with Mikaela's thoughts and will," Ilvister's Seraphim fire burned even brighter, "but you can, and that's your fault."
"Haha!" Muria's laughter echoed under the sky. He understood the source of Ilvister's anger, "You're jealous of me! Ilvister."
"Nonsense!" The pure and holy Seraphim fire erupted from Ilvister's back, his eight flaming wings extending over five hundred meters, "How could I be jealous of someone like you?"
"Then where does your anger come from? Mikaela woke up early, but she wasn't harmed. Why are you so angry?" Muria looked at his brother-in-law, who seemed ready to unleash a big move, and refused to back down. Winds gathered clouds from all directions, with endless lightning flashing within them.
Using his pair of golden dragon wings as a foundation, Muria formed a pair of wind and thunder wings that rivaled Ilvister's flaming wings, the blue-gold wings covering the sky.
Regardless of the outcome, he couldn't lose in terms of momentum. Below was Synapse, where his followers and kin were watching. So, Muria, using his bloodline abilities, forced the formation of the wind and thunder wings, gathering atmospheric elements.
A white light appeared on Muria's dragon horns, gradually expanding with terrifying elemental pressure, creating black cracks in the space around him. This was a new attack he simulated and deduced after witnessing Shadow of Slaughter Sivaron's pseudo-divine flash.
Boom—
A beam of terrifying energy shot from Muria's dragon horns, aimed at his brother-in-law preparing to unleash his ultimate move...
