"Of course, I'm interested." Claudia's dragon eyes, glowing faintly with golden light, quietly observed the heroic Celestial girl. As a mage dragon, she didn't like fighting, but she would never back down.
"Then let's fight!" Mikaela's ten wings burned behind her as she saw the divine light in Claudia's eyes.
She didn't believe a white dragon could acquire divinity on its own; it was obviously obtained through Muria. At the very least, it was related to Muria. This white dragon must be very special to him.
Moreover, a dragon with divinity was a great opponent for Mikaela. Divinity fundamentally altered the essence of a being's life, but it couldn't compare to her. Divinity couldn't change her.
"Let's fight outside." Claudia transformed into a white streak and flew to the sky above Synapse.
"Hmph." The Celestial girl cast a meaningful glance at Muria, then followed as a crimson streak. Muria sighed lightly and chased after them.
Mikaela and Claudia's battle was something Muria couldn't stop. He could only watch from the sidelines. For some reason, he felt inexplicably guilty and a bit awkward. Seriously, he hadn't done anything with Claudia.
"Tsk, they're fighting!" A giant dragon with red scales looked up at the sky, a gloating expression in its eyes. Whether it was Mikaela or Claudia, Jessica had no fondness for either. One was a natural species rival, and the other was a much more outstanding fellow dragon. These were all hard to get close to. So, she watched the impending battle with a mindset of enjoying the show.
"Jessica, who do you think will win?" A similarly-sized giant dragon approached Jessica, adopting the same sitting posture and looking up for a while before turning its head to ask with interest.
"Who knows? I don't care about the result!" Jessica replied indifferently.
"Hey, compared to the one with ten wings, I hope Claudia wins," Cynthia said. "Even though she's a white dragon, at least she's a dragon. I hate the way that Celestial Mikaela looks at us. I don't like her."
"Like it or not, she will likely be our mistress in the future, at least for the short term. She won't leave Muria. They are already engaged."
"Jessica, don't we have a chance? I want to have dragon babies."
"Anything is possible. That's what Muria once told us. Don't give up, we still have a chance, maybe." The emaciated Jessica spoke without much confidence.
"What? Do you want to face her wrath? Can't you feel how strong she is? If you really get involved with Muria, I think she could decapitate you and hang your head on her wall. We can't afford her wrath, so let's give up."
"You're right, but I'm really not satisfied! After living with Muria for so long, I can't look at other male dragons. They don't interest me."
"Me neither. Even if my body reacts, my mind rejects the idea of getting close to them. Those self-proclaimed strong males are too foolish. Letting them near me feels insulting."
"Are we just not going to have offspring?"
"What's the point of offspring? Isn't it just another way of extending life? With our current achievements, is immortality hard to attain? It's just a matter of time."
"So we're going to stay single for life? What a joke."
"What's wrong with that? Many metallic dragons stay single for life because they can't find suitable partners."
"That's why their numbers are so much smaller than ours."
"But their reputation is much better than ours."
"Forget it, let's go with the flow. It's not like we can't live without males. Besides, we can have offspring without them."
"What are you planning?" Cynthia looked at Jessica in horror.
"I once read an interesting experiment note," Jessica said with an ambiguous smile, explaining what she had seen.
"You're crazy," Cynthia cursed under her breath.
Regardless of the discussions between the two red dragons below, Muria was deeply troubled. He didn't know what to do. Should he intervene in the fight?
But taking sides was inappropriate, and doing nothing felt frustrating. He had the power but couldn't use it.
"Can I ask you something? Little white dragon, where did your divinity come from?" Mikaela swung her battle sword at the elegant white dragon, the sword light tearing through the layers of ice shields around Claudia but still being blocked.
"None of your business." Claudia's eyes were cold. Both in terms of race and attribute, she was naturally opposed to the Celestial in front of her. The racial gap made her feel immense pressure, so she had to give her all.
An ice field centered on Claudia formed rapidly in the sky, enveloping Mikaela. This was an ice and snow continent, giving Claudia a geographical advantage.
But despite this, as time passed, Claudia gradually fell behind. Apart from the geographical advantage, she had no other edge.
Effort could bridge inherent gaps, but the gap between Mikaela and Claudia couldn't be bridged by effort alone.
Moreover, Mikaela's efforts were no less than Claudia's. Thus, at the same level, Mikaela was overwhelmingly dominant over Claudia. Their fight was almost one-sided.
In the world, the scariest thing is a more talented person working harder than you and being more desperate.
Mikaela didn't make any unnecessary moves. She merely swung her sword, sending out sword lights while gradually mastering her power, blocking Claudia's attacks.
Gradually, she began to break through Claudia's defenses, leaving sword marks on Claudia's dragon scales. The ice queen's battle momentum became increasingly dire.
But even with continuous wounds, Claudia's eyes remained defiant. She had no intention of conceding. She was unwilling. But what could she do?
