The Wolf Fang burned against Tina's skin as she raced through the forest. Three days had passed since Dante's escape with the Master Seed, and the pack was in chaos. Aurora still battled the poison in her system, drifting in and out of consciousness despite Tina's best efforts.
"I'm not strong enough," Tina whispered to herself, pushing branches aside as she reached the sacred clearing where the Ancient wolves had made their temporary den.
The largest Ancient wolf, silver-furred and wise, lifted its massive head as she approached. "Young healer," it rumbled. "You should not be out alone."
"I need answers," Tina said, panting from her run. The Wolf Fang glowed brighter in the Ancient's presence. "Aurora is getting worse, not better. The poison has changed somehow."
The Ancient sniffed the air around her. "You bring the scent of the poison with you."
