A blood-red sun hovered beyond the sky as Earth's mightiest defenders gathered one final time. A scarred moon cast pale light over the scorched battlefield below the hovering colossus — the sleeping giant, Galactus, still unmoving, but alive.
Aiden stood at the front of the coalition, his cloak fluttering with the wind, battle gear tattered but functional. He turned his head slightly, looking over the warriors who had stood beside him through hell itself.
"Are you all ready?" he asked, voice calm but firm.
Behind him stood heroes of every kind — X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four, Mutants, Inhumans, even former villains. They were bruised, bloodied, and exhausted, but each one of them had chosen to rise again. Earth had no more time for rest.
Twenty-four hours. That's all they had bought.
Not enough to heal.
But enough to try.
Tony, donning a patched-up bleeding-edge suit with flickering energy lines, stepped beside Aiden, visor lifting. "We need to buy thirty minutes," he said. "The girls are doing the final touches on the weapon. It's now or never."
And just as he finished, the air itself cracked — a surge of cosmic energy pulsing outward as Galactus' eyes snapped open.
A silence fell. Galactus slowly scanned the assembled heroes, one by one, gaze lingering on Aiden the longest.
"All of this... to buy a day's time?" the Devourer rumbled, voice deep and mocking. "Pathetic."
Aiden didn't flinch. He stepped forward, gaze sharp, unfaltering. "Before we continue fighting… I'd like to say something to you."
Galactus tilted his head, curious. "Oh? The special one wants to speak? Interesting. Have you finally decided to kneel and serve?"
Aiden scoffed. "No. Nothing like that. Don't get your hopes up. I want to ask you about someone."
Galactus sneered. "You think you have the luxury to ask me anything, mortal?"
Aiden's voice didn't waver. "Knull. What do you know about him?"
That name struck like lightning.
For the first time, the mocking tone vanished. Galactus' massive head shifted downward, shadows crawling over his face. "...How do you know that name, boy?" he said darkly, all trace of arrogance gone.
"I don't," Aiden replied, bluffing coolly. "That's why I'm asking. Apparently he's coming to beat your ass and take over my body. Looks like everyone wants a piece of me these days, huh?"
The bluff landed. Galactus stiffened slightly, cosmic power humming louder in his chest.
"BOY! You dare lie to me?" Galactus growled. "Knull… the King in Black… is sealed at the edge of the cosmos. Trapped in the deepest void, beyond time. If he even moves, the Celestials will strike him down."
Aiden shrugged, unbothered. "So you're afraid of him. Good to know."
Galactus' fists clenched. "I thought you had something worthwhile to say. But instead, you waste your breath and prolong your world's end."
"No," Aiden said clearly. "I'm being honest with you. You're not even the real problem anymore."
That made Galactus pause.
"We've made a weapon," Aiden continued. "One strong enough to kill you."
Whispers spread among the heroes behind him. He wasn't supposed to say that — not yet.
Aiden pressed on. "I'll be honest. Besides a few injuries, you haven't really harmed Earth or its people. The only real loss was the sacrifice made by your own Herald. So I'll ask this once…"
He took a step forward, eyes burning like twin suns. "Leave Earth. Fly away. Feed elsewhere. And you'll leave with your life."
Galactus narrowed his eyes, unamused. "A weapon… forged by humans? You dare think such a thing could harm me? I am Galactus, Eater of Worlds! Your minds cannot fathom what I am!"
Aiden smirked — slow, confident, deadly.
"When I say weapon," he said, "I mean a mixture of your special Silver — the one that knocked you out like a bitch — Chaos Magic, and a force I think you're very familiar with…"
He paused.
"The Phoenix Force."
That made Galactus freeze.
Just for a second.
It was all Aiden needed.
"Can you handle that, Galactus?"
A ripple of fear — masked as rage — twisted the Titan's face.
"LIES!" Galactus roared. "More mortal deception! You dare bluff again?!"
Then the heavens exploded.
A massive beam of energy surged from Galactus' palm, aimed directly at the Earth.
Galactus' energy beam carved through the void like a sword of godhood, tearing past asteroids and dust clouds, forcing every hero to scatter.
"Move!" shouted Captain Marvel, launching herself at near-light speed, weaving through cosmic debris as the first wave of Avengers took flight.
Reed Richards, contained in a reinforced space suit built for interstellar battle, shouted commands through the comms. "Teams Alpha and Beta! Keep formation! Protect the rear while Aiden engages up close!"
"Already on it!" yelled Storm, unleashing a torrent of lightning into Galactus' chest, the bolts amplified by the thin energy sheath of the vacuum. They rippled across his armor, but he barely flinched.
The Fantastic Four surged forward — Thing striking with seismic force, Human Torch becoming a blazing comet, Sue Storm creating massive force-field constructs to hold back Galactus' counterwaves. The X-Men weren't far behind — Jean Grey, cloaked in a shimmer of faint Phoenix flame, directing mental attacks; Cyclops, beams firing in rapid pulses; Colossus, Iceman, Nightcrawler — all pushing forward in synchronized motion.
But it wasn't enough.
Galactus raised a single hand.
And a pulse of cosmic energy swept the battlefield, slamming dozens of heroes away like flies, tearing through shields, detonating power armor, and cracking mutant barriers.
"HE IS TOYING WITH US!" roared Thor, lightning pouring from Mjolnir as he struck down with celestial fury. His hammer collided with Galactus' gauntlet — the impact lit up the dark like a second sun — but even Thor's godly strength was forced back, spiraling from the backlash.
And still Galactus stood.
Towering. Unmoving. Untouched.
"A pathetic swarm," Galactus sneered. "You come to challenge the devourer, and bring ants."
Then the battlefield shifted.
Aiden rose — silent, still — eyes glowing with layered fury.
He exhaled once, calm and steady, his voice echoing through the private channel. "Everyone fall back. Let me Handle him"
His body shimmered. His scales began to emerge.
Then—
BOOM.
A cosmic shockwave exploded from Aiden as his transformation ignited: black horns spiraled from his head, demonic wings of molten fire tore from his back, and silver-crimson scales spread across his body like armor forged by death itself.
His Demon Dragon Form was reborn in space — a monstrous figure radiating chaos, power, and wrath.
The battlefield stilled.
"Galactus…" Aiden growled, voice laced with distortion, ancient and unrelenting. "You're done playing God."
And he charged.
Faster than a blink, he pierced through Galactus' cosmic aura, flames spiraling behind him as he drove his claw into the world-eater's shoulder — the first real strike to draw even a twitch from the Titan.
Galactus turned, surprised, as Aiden spun mid-air and slammed his foot into Galactus' face, sending the behemoth tilting back. The heroes watched in stunned silence as Aiden darted through the air, claws slashing, dodging energy beams and landing heavy hits across Galactus' massive body.
With every strike, Aiden weaved in and out of Galactus' attacks — striking joints, cracking armor seams, even forcing the devourer to defend for the first time in the battle.
Then it happened.
Aiden feinted left, burned forward through a cluster of cosmic energy, and struck under Galactus' right eye — a deep, clawed wound tearing through the lower cheek. Cosmic blood sprayed into the void.
Galactus reeled.
The heroes shouted in unison, rallying at the sight — the first real damage they'd inflicted.
But victory was fleeting.
"ENOUGH!" Galactus bellowed.
Suddenly, his horns lit with pure cosmic fire, and from them unleashed a devastating twin-beam blast, faster than light, impossible to dodge.
Aiden barely raised his arms when the beams struck.
BOOM.
Aiden was hurled back like a meteor, crashing into a floating chunk of space rock that shattered on impact, his body trailing smoke, flames, and debris as he spiraled through the void.
"Aiden!!" shouted Jean, trying to reach out psychically, but static roared through her mind.
The heroes paused, dread returning like a cold tide.
Galactus wiped the blood from his face.
"Dragon… Demon… Mortal… You have earned my wrath."
And so the true battle began.
