Picking up the new spell scroll, Richard took a glance at it.
Immediately, he frowned.
Then he sighed,
"I knew it wouldn't be that easy."
Most of the time, learning Divination spells involved not only intense amounts of practice, but also magical ingredients and objects to perform rituals.
"This spell calls for the eye of a gorgon and a few dashes of sacred dewdrops to treat the eyes. The dewdrops can be arranged, but where do I find a gorgon?"
Gorgons were Horror-class creatures of the abyss. With their petrifying gaze, they could turn any living being into solid rock as long as it met their gaze.
Coupled with their insidious nature and serpentine bodies, fighting them was a hassle, even for experienced sorcerers.
He sighed,
"I should have known getting a new Divination spell wouldn't be so easy. Let's see..."
He quickly made a mental calculation of how many origin essence cores he would need to purchase these two items.
