Samuel and his friends, after their graduation had interned in their families' businesses.
As the heir of the Griffin conglomerate, Samuel joined his dad in each and every meeting where the discussions on the conglomerate's past, present and future.
Even as an intern, he was currently performing the duties of the vice chairman of the conglomerate, getting the best training possible from his dad and the rest of the management team.
Elizabeth had interned in the police Headquarters as her dad's assistant, doing the duties of most secretaries as well as accompanying him to meetings and press conferences.
Similar to Samuel, the twins had interned in the Miller conglomerate, performing managerial duties just like Samuel. They were even allowed to represent the conglomerate in meetings with other businesses. They even met with Samuel in a few of said meetings when he represented the Griffin conglomerate in their partnership agreement meeting.
Delgato, on the other hand was given a recommendation letter by Dr. Michelson which he used to get an internship job at the Cape Metro branch of the Institute of Genetic Research and Analysis; in the IT section.
Within a few weeks of his internship, he was recognized by his bosses for his quality and efficient work and given a higher clearance rank. Although, he secretly already had access to the Institute's entire data stream.
All the friends were moving up in the world as, although they were merely interns at the moment, they had their jobs already on lock down; even already being on the payroll.
Their busy schedules did nothing to stop them from using their powers to aid society whenever they were needed.

After a week of travel, the black Viper finally appeared on the shores of Sienna Metropolis; hungry and insanely irate. When it slithered unto the shores, its size could dwarf any structure near it; standing as tall as a two-storey building and as long as two subway trains.
The giant black viper attacked and devoured everything and everyone in its way, causing mass panic and hysteria, as it made its way onto the main road. The panic grew uncontrollably as the people on the road fled in different directions.
Even with all the people it had consumed so far, its level of hunger didn't even have a dent in it. It screeched loudly as it slowly made its way up the road, devouring all those in his way.

A few hours before, Samuel had taken Elizabeth out on a date. They sat having a good time together in one of the cities four-star restaurants.
As they sat chatting, Samuel couldn't help but compliment her beauty, stunning her and causing her to smile. Her smile caused his heart to skip a beat in return as they moved closer and shared a passionate kiss.
After a few seconds into their kiss, his watch started to vibrate, ending it abruptly. He turned to the watch feeling a little irate but also perturbed. This watch was the emergency beacon they used when communication with the base was essential.
He kissed her again and asked to be excused as he rose to his feet. Elizabeth nodded as she resumed with her dessert that had just been delivered. Samuel then walked over to the men's washroom; locking it behind him after checking if he was alone.
He tapped the screen of his watch and a small three-dimensional image of Dr. Michelson appeared above his hand.
"Hello Doc. What's the emergency?" Samuel asked immediately. "My sonar sensors in the ocean close to the coast of the city is picking up a large object moving towards the city", Emmanuel informed.
"What is it? Do we have a visual?" Samuel asked alarmed. "I'm not sure what it is. It's too fast to get a proper visual but the sensors picked up a heat signature. It may very well be a whale but I want you to check it out when you have the time", the doctor requested.
"Alright Doc…I'll fly out and check it out a little later. Please keep me updated if anything changes", Samuel said before hanging up the call and returning to his seat.
After dinner, he drove her home in his sleek new Ferrari and drove to the city intending on checking up with Dr. Michelson's request. He passed by the bank for a quick visit of a few of his friends who currently worked there.
His friends, Ava and Theo were his closest classmates other than his friends throughout their years in college. They were currently employed as a Teller and an IT analyst, respectively, in the bank.
Due to the time of night, the customers currently patronizing the bank was negligible so his friends were able to meet with him. As they conversed, a masked and armed man burst through the revolving doors into the banking hall and fired a shot into the ceiling.
"Everybody…get down on the ground…do it now!!" he shouted swinging his gun from side to side in a threatening manner. The crowd in the bank panicked as they fell forcefully to the ground in fear.
The robber walked up to a teller who had been attending to a customer, handed her an empty duffel bag and demanded she quickly fill it with money. "Hurry the fuck up bitch!" he shouted banging the gun against the glass and terrifying the lady.
"Damn, I wish there is something we could do", Theo whispered to Samuel who nodded in agreement and looked around for the best time to act without exposing himself. With a plan in mind, he waited patiently for the right time to act.
When the Teller was done filling the bag with as much money as she could put in, the robber grabbed it and turn to rush out.
Taking the chance, Samuel, using his cryokinetic ability, channeled ice from his hand, along the marble floor, and created a sheet of ice in the path of the robber.
As the robber rushed towards the revolving door to leave, he stepped on the transparent sheet of ice, slipped and slid uncontrollably. Sliding close to Samuel, the latter took the opportunity to sweep the robber off his feet and fall face first unto the ground.
