As the robber tried to get back to his feet, Samuel slammed him back down to the ground and quickly locked his hands under his knee, pinning him to the ground. He then snatched the weapon from the robber's hand before he could squeeze the trigger; snapping his trigger finger as a result.
"Arghh!! Shit!! I'll kill you fucker!!" the robber shouted in pain. "I'll like to see you try", Samuel hissed as he released the clip from the gun before racking it to eject the chambered cartridge. Theo quickly joined him to hold down the perp to ensure he was incapable of taking any further action.
"Get the fuck off me you damn cock suckers!! I'll kill you all when I get the chance!! Your lives are forfeit!!" the robber shouted threateningly, as he unsuccessfully tried to free himself.
"Stop struggling before you hurt yourself some more. I have no qualms with breaking every bone ion your body to keep you still", Samuel warned as he kept a hand on the guy. "Fuck you!" the robber replied to the threat.
"Yo…dude! Guard! We need to keep him restrained. Please bring something we can use to cuff him", Samuel instructed the plumb security guard who was still lying face down on the ground.
"Ye...yes! Right away", the chubby guard stammered as he hoisted himself from the ground and rushed to a back room; returning with zip ties in hand.
Samuel retrieved the zip ties from the heaving guard and then, he and Theo tied up the robber's hands and feet; completely incapacitating him.
"Have you called the police?" Samuel asked. "Yes Sir! I pressed the alert button when he first entered. The police should be here any minute", the Teller answered.
"Good. Here…", Samuel said as he picked up the duffel bag and tossed it to the guard who struggled with the weight a little. Ava had walked over to her still shaking colleague and tried to comfort her.
"Now…let's see who this perp is", Samuel said as he unmasked the tied-up robber.
"That's Mathias Norman. I believe he is a wanted criminal. I saw his image on one of the routine alerts played by the six pm news", Theo identified after taking a proper look.
Sirens sounded in the distance as multiple police cruisers approached and stopped in front of the bank. Several armed officers swarmed into the banking hall only to be met with a surprisingly calm hall and a restrained alleged assailant.
They quickly apprehended him before picking statements from the surrounding witnesses. The Sergeant in charge entered and after being briefed by his men, approached Samuel and Theophilus.
"Hello! I'm Sergeant Richards with the Sienna Metropolis Police Department", he introduced. He then proceeded to thank them for their assistance although he admonished them to be careful as they may not be so lucky next time.
"I hear he is wanted?" Samuel enquired of the Sergeant. "Yes! He's been responsible for several robberies all over the province and is wanted across multiple jurisdictions. He never hits the same city twice and always manages to get away before the police arrive at the scene. I guess we caught a lucky break that he got careless and stumbled, allowing you two to capture him", the Sergeant explained happily.
Mathias was walked out in actual cuffs towards one of the squad cars with everyone watching. The crowd outside just gawked as he was shoved into the back seat and the car drove away towards the station to process him.
"So…is there a reward for his capture?" Theo asked excitedly. "Yes…I believe there is a ten-thousand-dollar bounty on his head. We'll take both your information and after all the processes are done, you'll be contacted by the city to come in and receive a cheque. Although, I have to warn you that since you both caught him, the bounty will be split between you", the Sergeant informed.
"It's not a problem…right?" Theo said as he turned to Samuel for confirmation. "Come on dude, you know I don't do things for money. You can have it it's really no problem. I'm just glad this perp is off the street", Samuel said to Theo who had a grateful look on his face. Of course, he had no intention of spending it on himself alone but on his colleagues as well.
As the heir of a trillion-dollar conglomerate, Samuel had no need to split a mere ten thousand dollars with his friend. He was capable of spending a hundred thousand dollars this very instant if he so desired and it would not make a dent in his allowances.
The Sergeant nodded as he called one of his men to take down Theo's details as he squatted down and observed the ground. He wondered what caused the robber to stumble as the statements from the witnesses mentioned the he slipped and slid on something, but the ground before him had no substance that could have been the cause.
Choking it up to Mathias' own carelessness, the Sergeant rose to his feet to leave for the station as well. Giving his final thanks and saying his goodbyes, the Sergeant walked towards the
"Dude…I have to get going as well. There is something I need to check out before I go home", Samuel said with a wave as he followed the Sergeant out.
As they exited through the revolving doors, a sudden tremor shook the entire area. Before anyone could react, screams were heard in the distance. Everyone turned to that direction only to see multitudes of people fleeing downhill in fear and hysterical panic.
"Dispatch…This is Sergeant Richards…is there a 130 in the area near us", the Sergeant asked in his radio. "Sergeant…please be advised…there is indeed a 130 near you. Officers have already been dispatched but no response has been received. Please proceed with caution", the dispatch officer replied.
"I wonder what's going on", he said as he turned off his radio. "You two…investigate the 130 and report back to me", the Sergeant commanded two cops who were near their squad car. "Yes sir!" they replied and entered the car; speeding up the road towards the fleeing crowd.
When the squad car reached the top of the hill, it suddenly screeched to a halt before reversing almost immediately, trying to get to safety but crashing into other cars as well.
"7-Adam-13…report! What's the situation?!" the Sergeant asked through the radio as the panicked crowds heading downhill towards them increased in number, turning from a small number of panicked people into a swarm of hysterical citizens.
