The avalanche reached the village and even buried the Lapahns.
Luffy was walking through the snow with Nami on his back and Sanji under his arm, who had been injured due to the avalanche.
As he walked, he saw a small Lapahn trying to pull his father out of the snow, so Luffy helped without trouble and kept moving forward.
"I'll take you there," said Luffy, looking at the castle. "So don't die—neither of you!"
Just then, a shout made Luffy stop.
"There he is, Mr. Wapol!"
Wapol appeared with two of his subordinates, riding a strange animal.
"Wait! How dare you humiliate me so many times, brat!" shouted Wapol, enraged.
"Get out of the way!" Luffy yelled.
"Mahahahah! Not a chance! I have no reason to move from here!" Wapol said before looking at the two injured ones. "Looks like those guys you're carrying on your back and under your arm are already half dead!"
Luffy ignored him and kept moving.
"Wait! Hey, Chess, I think I've got a new law. Write this down," Wapol ordered his servant. "Anyone who ignores the King shall be executed! So start by killing that sick girl and the unconscious guy who are ignoring me!"
"As you command!!"
Both of Wapol's servants went to attack Luffy, but Oliver burst out from the snow, striking Chess and making him crash into the other.
"Oliver!" Luffy shouted, happy to see his nakama.
"Luffy, let me handle these guys. You keep going," said Oliver, taking a stance. "Nami and Sanji are the priority."
"You're the one who hit me!!" Wapol screamed.
Luffy looked at his nakama and agreed.
"Alright! I'll leave them to you!"
Luffy ran off, leaving the fight to Oliver.
"Chess, Kuromarimo! Forget about Mugiwara and deal with that bastard!" Wapol yelled furiously.
"Yes, Wapol-sama!"
Chess and Kuromarimo readied their weapons to attack Oliver.
'Bow and arrow, and the other one uses spiked balls,' Oliver thought. "I can take you on easily. You'll be easier than that fish-man."
Kuromarimo charged first, and Oliver dodged the attack and went to counter, but his right arm wouldn't move.
Realizing his arm was unresponsive, he tried to kick, but several arrows from Chess intercepted him.
He broke one of the arrows and dodged the rest, only for Wapol to burst out of the snow trying to bite him. Oliver pulled out a cannon from his inventory and smacked Wapol in the head, stopping the bite.
'I think I'm at a disadvantage,' Oliver thought, unable to feel his right arm.
Taking advantage of the moment, Chess and Kuromarimo used the snow as cover and appeared beside Oliver, aiming right at him.
"Checkmate!"
Chess had him in his sights with a bow, and Kuromarimo had a spiked ball ready to strike.
'I can't block with Hoplomachia because of my arm, and I still need to learn how to use Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist. I need another combat style.'
With no time to waste, Oliver decided to try something. He summoned the Gacha Machine, which blocked the spiked ball. He tried dodging the arrow, but it pierced his arm.
Even with the arrow in his arm, Oliver went after Chess, who tried to shoot him, but Oliver was already in front of him.
Focusing his strength into the palm of his hand, he struck the bow, shattering it into pieces. Then he grabbed Chess's arm, broke it, and threw him into Kuromarimo.
'One down.'
He summoned the Gacha Machine beside him again to use it as cover in case they attacked from a distance.
'Luckily, the Gacha Machine doesn't get damaged by that.'
He pulled out a Token from his inventory and inserted it while removing the arrow and wrapping his arm with his coat to stop the bleeding.
He noticed his arm was getting covered in dark veins, and where the insect had stung him was now where the arrow wound was.
'Shit, I need to do something about this. I just hope it's not necrosis.'
While focused on bandaging his arm, he didn't even notice the color of the orb that came out.
[Combat Style: Rokushiki]
A big smile spread across Oliver's face as the knowledge of how to use Rokushiki entered his mind, and just at that moment of joy, two arrows flew toward him—which he easily dodged.
"Get ready!"
A fusion of Chess and Kuromarimo appeared in front of Oliver, meaning Wapol had fused them.
"I'll show you what happens to those who defy Wapol-sama!"
He readied two giant fire-covered arrows, each tipped with a spiked ball, and shot them at Oliver.
'I have to finish this quickly,' Oliver thought. "Soru!"
In an instant, he appeared in front of the strange fusion and landed a powerful punch with everything he had, including Electro, straight to the gut, launching it backward. To make sure it stayed down, he spun around a few times and delivered a powerful kick, sending a gust of wind directly at them, causing a small explosion.
'It wasn't perfect, but I'm sure that'll do.'
He looked around for Wapol but couldn't see him due to the snow and his illness.
He tried to locate him, but the snowstorm surrounding him made it impossible to see.
"Shit, where is that bastard now?"
Oliver started walking through the snow, staying alert in case Wapol showed up.
He heard a noise beside him and got into position, but then another sound came from behind.
'Can he move that fast? Or am I hallucinating now?'
He kept walking until he heard a whisper and came to a sudden stop.
Little by little, the snow disappeared, and in front of him stood a building.
"My high school? I fell asleep—damn it, I don't have time for this."
He saw a nervous-looking boy walk into the building.
"Hope it's not like last time."
He followed the boy inside, and as he opened the door, he saw several dark figures staring at the boy.
'I guess that's me, but I don't remember it being like this back then.'
The boy started walking, and whispers grew louder with every step he took.
"Why is he here?"
"What is he doing here?"
"Is it even legal for him to be here?"
"He should leave."
"We should make him leave."
Oliver followed him, noticing the dark figures were growing giant eyes on their faces.
The boy quickened his pace, and so did Oliver. Gradually, his speed increased as everything around them was consumed by a strange black mass, until the boy ran into the bathroom—so Oliver followed.
Once inside, everything was pitch black.
"What is this?" Oliver asked.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
Oliver turned and saw his younger self crouched down with his head between his knees.
"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry."
"Why are you apologizing?"
Young Oliver kept apologizing, and the whispers returned.
"I don't understand what's going on."
He looked behind him—and there was a giant eye.
"What the..."
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."
With each apology, more and more eyes appeared, until he was surrounded by them.
'This is strange.' Oliver's heart began to race. 'Why do I feel like this?'
"Fault."
A woman's voice echoed behind Oliver, making him start to tremble.
"Your fault..."
Oliver slowly turned his head—and a woman was standing right in front of him.
"IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!"
