"Can't you just accept that I like you now?" I shifted slightly so I could look at his face. It was evident he was upset and I didn't like it. I didn't want to make Edward upset. He always looked like a beat up puppy and it would take someone soulless to continue.
His blue eyes looked into mine and they just penetrated through me so much that I felt my tether weather.
"Connor, you've let me in and I appreciate that," he held the side of my face gently, "I appreciate you letting me kiss you. I appreciate you opening yourself up to me so much that you've let me see you in ways not many people have. I've always respected and admired you, but I need to know in my heart, why?"
