The panic I was experiencing was almost crippling as I stared out onto the city lights for what felt like forever. Where had I been reckless for Ted to detect something was going on between Connor and I?
We were careful. Yes, once or twice at nationals and at the club we had snuck off for a quick kiss or rump in his office but each time security blocked the path therefore I knew no one could get close enough to hear anything. We barely spent time at his house for me to say they had caught us there.
Each time they had it was when I had just arrived or was leaving therefore it couldn't be read wrong. No one knew Connor came to my house since we kept it on tight lock down all the time and I wasn't dumb enough to try to flirt with him in public.
Ted knew. Henry knew. Which was an anomaly I wasn't expecting. That left me torn on how to deal with this. I couldn't let Connor find out. He would spiral and I wouldn't be able to cope if I knew it was all my fault.
