It was late into the night when the attack was planned. Late into the night when Katarina received word about her grandson.
She had been hiding in the Cuvan estate owned by the House of Douglas this whole time, one that had not been legally registered under their name, and hence escaped investigation and security. It was where Heronimo and the rest of the Douglas's made their plans, all of whom where now dead. Except Katarina of course.
She had last seen her grandson or any of her family member for the matter a week ago. With the promise of bringing her glory, Heronimo had set out with all his men in order to ambush the Emperor and his Consort, after word about their tour spread around the Empire. His ambush had been well planned, having had watched the Emperor's cavalry hide away as if preparing for a fight they'd bring to Heronimo. But he had other plans. He planned to bring the fight to them.
