Aurora stalked around the room like a vulture waiting for its prey to die, eyes never leaving the lady slumped on the floor. As for Katarina, her shock slowly began to disappear, replaced by a new-found anger and fury at the sight of them.
"You…" She seethed, eyes burning with unshed tears. "You managed to crawl out of that shell you so like to stay hidden in. For all its worth, you should be thanking me."
Aurora stopped her pacing, tilting her head to the side. "Thank you?"
"That's right." Katarina scoffed. "If not for me, you would never learn to stand up on your own."
Oh, she did not just say that.
The two standing women knew exactly what she was indicating, and it made Alia fist her hands, but Aurora was oddly calm. She nodded her head, agreeing. "You are right. I have you to thank for this. Thank you, for making me what I am today."
