This wasn't how things were supposed to go. Not this week. Not now. I was supposed to win. That bastard was meant to fall flat on his face, lose Emma, and make his Luna high.
He is supposed to lose his pack, everything. And yet here I stood, watching my daughter fumble like a wide-eyed lamb while Ian's grip on power only grew stronger.
I clenched my jaw, my hands twitching at my sides as I watched the scene spiral. Nyx stood in front of me, desperation leaking from her like a stench, even though she is my mate I never wanted her.
"Dad, please… say something. The one I love is Ian, not him," she whined, pointing at me with that arrogant piece of shit that looked like it would fix anything.
I sneered. "You think I'm going to accept a weak little sports bra like you?" If she thinks she is better than Emma She is making a mistake, Emma is way better and more beautiful than her.
