EMMA
The giant doors of the ceremonial hall creaked open, and warm golden light spilled in like the beginning of a dream. The scent of incense and wild rose petals hung thick in the air, wrapping around my senses, and stirring my soul.
On either side of me, my parents each held an arm steadily, lovingly while Olivia, my brave little girl scattered blossoms down the marble aisle with her tiny hands.
A satin ribbon circled her head like a halo, and for today, she looked like a little bride of light. We stepped in together and my breath caught.
The hall was overflowing. Guests from every allied pack lined the rows in full ceremonial dress, warriors and elders, nobles and mystics, all gathered to witness something that only happened once in a generation: the making of a Luna.
