"That sounds too fake to be real, did the government really write that?" Ashly said with skepticism.
"Yeah it's the summary of the story, there has been a bunch of things I haven't said. This is just the important things, some people say it wasn't the full story, but many said it was enough." Lucas says.
"Many people don't really remember much about it since it was mostly between the government and Cebotari. The festival is to honor him so most people let it slide. Besides the other name for this festival is the Cebotari festival." Lucas then pats his bag, and opens it pointing at a piece of paper.
"Cebotari is a honorable man, and Diego gave me a copy of the book. I do wish that I still had it as it inspired me a lot" Lucas says as he stretches his arms, with a yawn Lucss then looks at Ashly.
"Let's go find the old man now, don't stray to far from me as it's a big area." Lucas says to Ashly as he stands up.
"Yeah alright I wasn't planing on loosing you anyways." Ashly says as she follows behind him. "I know now that if I get away from you I'll cause trouble. Can't believe it took me almost losing you to figure that out."
As they both begin to walk around the district they see many happy children. There are a bunch of young adults smiling, and laughing with each other. This is so much different to what Ashly was used to, everyone is having a great time.
The music is very energetic, and there are some people dancing in some areas of the district. It's colorful and many people are singing together. Ashly feels like she is drowning in these immense emotions everyone is feeling.
Ashly can see some people drinking, and others cheering them on to continue. "Don't stop now, you can still drink more." Ashly heard as the they continued drinking. "Do people really drink this early in the morning? Is it really encouraged this much in festival?" Ashly thought to herself as she continued to follow Lucas who didn't seem interested.
What catches Ashly's attention the most was the food. There is an abundance of food everywhere she turns to look. "So this is what living truly looks like." Ashly says as she drools a bit. Ashly wipes her mouth, she hasn't drooled in a long time.
Lucas notices Ashly eyeing the food and smiles a bit. "Ashly, do you want me to buy some? I had some before so I know which ones are the best." Lucas says which Ashly nods.
"Wait near that building for me Ashly, I'll be right back." Lucas says as he points to the building on his right. Ashly nods and Lucas walks away to get her something.
Ashly is resting against the wall, and feels how slightly cold it was against her neck. As she continues to stare at Lucas she then feels a small hand in her leg. She looks down and sees a little girl tugging at her leg. "Miss are you having fun?" The young girl asked.
"Oh yes I'm having fun alright, I'm exited to be here." Ashly says to the girl looking away from her, "The mask must be working" Is what Ashly thinks.
"You don't seem to be having fun at all which is why I asked. Are you sad right now? I thought festivals made everyone happy but it doesn't seem like it." The girl said.
"Where are your parents kid? Go to them and leave me alone." Ashly said trying to make the little girl leave her alone.
"Well my father is gone for the time being." The little girl said which catches Ashly's attention, "He went to buy some candy for me so I have to wait for him here." The little girl says which makes Ashly feel stupid for thinking she was lost.
"Well then why are you choosing to be with me, a complete stranger?" Ashly asked the girl, "Why aren't you being careful with me, isn't that a bit risky?"
"Oh well it's because I thought you looked like a nice person." The girl responded with a smile "I saw that you were also waiting for your boyfriend, and I just thought we could wait together."
"He is not my boyfriend." Ashly said immediately, she is a bit annoyed now that the girl said that. "We are…friends and we are just trying to pass the time. Just go back to your father, don't talk to strangers so casually. You don't want to know how bad people can really be."
"Yeah I know, I'm sorry for assuming, I just want to wait here. You seem like a good person, and that's why I won't go somewhere else." Ashly gives up and just lets the girl stand next to her. "My name is Isabella if you want to know." Isabella said.
Ashly then spots Lucas returning with food, it seems to be some meat on a stick. "Hey Ashly who is this adorable little girl?" Lucas says as he waves at Isabella who smiles at him.
"Just some random girl who walked up to me out of nowhere." Ashly said as she pointed at Isabella who is more focused on Lucas.
Lucas kneels down to Isabella's level. "Listen, don't go and hang around with strangers. It's not safe, and don't do it in such a big crowd where you can get lost in." Lucas says.
"Don't worry about that, there is no way I can get kidnapped. There is a lot of people so no one will try anything. If they do then I'll scream, and the people surrounding will help me out." Isabella said with a little laugh.
"Yeah that's true, but that doesn't mean you should do this. Just stay with your parents because people do risky things." Lucas says.
"I know but there are a lot of people who know me. I feel safe as they are keeping a watch on me." Isabella said.
Lucas then hears footsteps, and sees a tall bearded man approaching. Isabella smiles and runs to him. "Daddy your back!" She then hugs his leg, the man smiles and hugs her.
"Oh I'm glad she isn't alone, sir you should be a bit more careful. Your daughter walked up to my friend without knowing her at all." Lucas saysz
"Yeah you're right, I'm sorry for troubling you two. I'm a bit tired and I want to have some fun, it's my fault for leaving her alone." The man said as he bowed to Lucas.
"Oh it's alright, just don't make this mistake again. Who knows what some people are thinking right?" Lucas says and the man agrees.
Ashly begins to eat the food, it's warm and taste good. Ashly is completely ignoring everything around her to focus on the food. Meanwhile Lucas pulls out a picture of the man. "We are here to find this man as I have to do business with him." Lucas says.
"Well I hope you do find him as I think I have seen him before." The man said as he waved them farewell.
Ashly and Lucas begin to walk again and Ashly is still eating. "I'm so exited to find him, he is just within reach I can feel it." Lucas says as he fidgits with his hand.
Ashly looks up and comes back. "Oh wow Lucas, you are completely different now. Just earlier you were a bit sad, but now you seem very happy." Ashly commented. "Wish I was like you, quickly getting better. Your inconsistency in emotions is weird."
"Yeah I'm sorry, it's just that I'm feeling good." Lucas says and they walk to an officer. "Hey sir, I'm looking for this man, and I want to know if you know him by chance." Lucas asked.
"Why do you want to know who this man is?" the officer asked, Lucas then explains himself "Oh that makes sense but sorry I don't, im new here so I'm useless."
"Listen kid I'll try to see if I can search for him, I'll call some of the other officers." The officer said.
Ashly leans close to Lucas ,ear and whispers "So how long do you expect this to take? Just curious."
"Hopefully just one day, but this festival is fun so we can stay another day. It's the biggest festival, and I sure don't want to miss it now that we are here." Lucas says which Ashly understands.
As they continue to walk Ashly sees someone doing some tricks. Ashly is a bit confused as the man seems to be making items appear from the palm of his hand but she ignores it. "I feel a bit weird here, I don't belong in such a place at all." Ashly said.
"You know thinking about it now, I think it wasn't really a good idea coming here. If you put more thought into it, this place is more populated than in any other day, and it's impossible to traverse. Oh well we have gone too far to stop more." Lucas says which Ashly pokes his neck again with her nail.
"I'm sorry Ashly, I just got exited to be here, I only went here once before. It was with Diego, and I just wanted to relieve it over again." Lucas says a bit embarrassed.
On the outside of Ethneal Robert is seen approaching. "Oh good morning sir, I'm here for the festival." Robert said with a smile.
"Oh who isn't?" Said the officer, "May I get your identification and name please." Robert takes out his identification, and hands it to the man. "You sure are a large man, mind telling me your secrets."
"Oh there isn't any secrets, I'm a hunter so I had access to a bunch of meant if that's what you want to know. My name is Robert and I'm from a village on the east. The name of the village is Tavgon."
"Oh Tavgon, I remember that place, it's a very great place for hunting." The man said as he handed the identification back to Robert.
"I'm here to meet a friend." Robert says and the man lets Robert inside telling him to have fun. "Yes I'm going to have so much fun, the most fun I have ever had."
As Robert walks around. "Wow you're very tall, are you related to a bear?" A man asked Robert, the man seems to be drunk already. Robert just ignore him and gives him a smile.
"How can all these people be so cheerful in such a closed environment? There is no room for movement, it's a cage they happily enter." Robert thought to himself.
"What will I do once I'm done with my job?" Robert asked himself as he continues to pass people. He then smiles as he begins to think of something to do to make this more fun that it already is.
