Early the next morning, before the alarm could ring, Gardevoir had already opened her eyes. Then she glanced at the still-sleeping Ash, a hint of mischief flashing in her gaze.
After secretly using her psychic powers to move Pikachu—who had been lying on Ash's head—away, she slowly leaned closer to Ash's face.
Ring ring ring!
Before Gardevoir could execute her plan, Ash's alarm went off. In an instant, Ash's eyes snapped open, making Gardevoir beside him wish she could smash that damned alarm clock to pieces.
"Time to get up. Morning, Gardevoir! Rise and shine, everyone!"
"Gardevoir..." (Damn that alarm...)
Looking at Gardevoir's seemingly dejected expression, although Ash wanted to comfort her, a certain premonition in his heart told him that if he comforted her now, the situation would become very serious.
"Jeni!" (Morning already)
"Cha!"
"Meow. Let's go eat breakfast. There's ketchup over there, you don't need to bring any. After that, we should go wake up Lyn and the others."
After Ash woke up Lyn and the others, they all had breakfast together while discussing with Officer Jenny how to deal with Hunter Y.
"As for Hunter Y, we'll leave this guy to you, Officer Jenny. As for their spaceship, you can take it away, Miss Matori. The wreckage of Hunter X's ship is already enough for our research."
Hearing Ash say this, Matori nodded. "Very well. We'll proceed with technical decryption on our end. If successful, we'll share the results with you. So Officer Jenny, how does this distribution sound to you?"
Officer Jenny replied, "No problem. Thanks to Ash being here this time, or else things would have been very troublesome."
Since neither Officer Jenny nor Matori had any objections, just as Ash was about to speak, a Continental Hotel employee rushed in: "Boss! A huge airship is approaching the mountain!"
"Hmm? Let's go take a look!" Outside the tent, a massive airship slowly descended. A man wearing sunglasses stood waiting. Upon seeing Ash's group emerge, he smiled and said, "Hello there, Mr. Ash."
Looking at the man, Ash tilted his head. "And you are?"
"My apologies for not introducing myself yet. You can call me A, the leader of the Hunter organization, so to speak."
"Oh... And then?"
Seeing Ash's unimpressed expression, Hunter A suppressed his irritation and continued, "I hope you'll return our people. If you do, perhaps we could become friends."
Ash and Misty exchanged exasperated glances. Finally, Ash rubbed his temples and asked, "What gives you such confidence? Your giant 'airship' or your numbers?"
As Ash finished speaking, Continental Hotel employees collectively stepped forward, fixing their gazes on Hunter A.
Maintaining his composure, Hunter A bowed gracefully. "Of course, it's strength. Go! My Pokémon—"
Six pseudo-legendary Pokémon materialized: Kommo-o, Hydreigon, Garchomp, Salamence, Tyranitar, and Metagross—all radiating Elite-level power.
"Kommo-o, Hydreigon, Garchomp, Salamence, Tyranitar, and Metagross. All pseudo-legendaries at Elite level. No wonder the Hunter Organization's been hard to pin down. They've got real firepower backing them."
Hunter A smirked. "Well? Now you understand my confidence?"
Lyn silently gripped a Poké Ball, but Ash shook his head. "Leave this guy to me. The rest of you handle his lackeys. Since Mr. A here showed his hand first, it'd be rude not to reciprocate. Everyone—let's educate him!"
"Woof!" (Let's fight!)
"Pii!" (Bring it on!)
"Buzz!" (Quick finish!)
"Gardevoir!" (Dragon-types? Perfect.)
"Hiss!" (Crush them!)
"Arbok!" (End this!)
Arcanine, Pidgeot, Beedrill, Gardevoir, Rapidash, and Arbok unleashed their auras—*peak Elite-level* intensity. Hunter A's confidence finally cracked.
