"I'll come pick you up in a bit."
While on the phone with Lily Turner, Easton Holmes was already on the way to her house. At this moment, he had already driven out of the Military District Compound.
Hearing Easton say he was coming to pick her up, Lily was startled and broke into a cold sweat, "You don't need to come pick me up. I still don't know why my mom is looking for me. I'm staying here tonight."
She didn't know what her mom really wanted. Her heart was in turmoil, and she felt uncertain.
"But I've already started driving."
Easton informed her truthfully. He didn't turn back as per Lily's suggestion, but instead, continued driving towards her place.
By now, the car had already stopped at the gate, "Miss! We're here!"
Upon hearing the driver speak, Lily snapped out of her shock, quickly paid the fare, and got out of the car.
"You don't have to come all the way to pick me up. I'll take a cab back after I'm done here."
