Chapter 98 - #98

Everything.

Almighty.

Everything flows.

The power of reincarnation in the real world.

Dust to green.

Green to gray.

Thereby.

The world resets once more.

The Outline Origin of Holopsicon restores what was lost, bringing everything back to its original form.

Altair's saber pierced Mukade.

And just like that—he vanished.

With his eradication, the energy she had accumulated began to fade. Altair's form flickered, her body turning translucent.

She turned to Mufasa and gave a slight nod.

Mufasa exhaled. "Go back and rest."

The space behind her split open once more. Without hesitation, Altair stepped inside, disappearing into the void. The rift sealed shut.

Back in the brainwave enhancement chamber, Altair reappeared. Her eyes slowly closed, and she drifted into slumber.

Orochimaru, Sasuke, and the others were left speechless.

What the hell just happened?

One throwing saber—that was all it took?

And then, something even more baffling occurred.

The ground, once torn asunder by chaos, began to mend itself. The deep fissures closed, the shattered landscape returning to its pristine form. The chakra-drained Deidara lay sprawled on the ground, watching the phenomenon unfold like a movie playing in reverse.

"No way…"

Yes.

Everything was rewinding.

The land healed. The desert sands stretched over the battlefield once more. Even the corrupted dragon veins, once tainted in a sinister purple-blue hue, began to shift. The sickly colors bled away, replaced by a pure, vibrant green.

The very essence of the dragon veins had been cleansed.

Mukade's lingering consciousness realized something was wrong. It screamed in defiance.

"Destroy! Kill them all!"

But the dragon veins no longer listened. The last remnants of purple-blue energy converged, flowing back into Mukade's severed head like a river retreating to the sea.

Jugo's monstrous, twenty-meter-tall berserker form crumbled mid-air, his grotesque transformation undone. Left behind were only two figures—Jugo, now in his normal, fully-healed body, and Mukade's decaying head, floating lifelessly before plummeting into the sands.

The dragon veins retreated deep underground, purified and silent once more.

All things had returned to their natural state.

The nightmare had ended.

Orochimaru, Sasuke, and Sasori stood in stunned silence, unable to comprehend the miracle they had just witnessed.

"What… kind of ninjutsu is this?!" Orochimaru finally whispered.

"Are we dreaming?" Sasori muttered.

Moments ago, the world had been on the brink of destruction. Now, it was as if nothing had ever happened.

Mufasa exhaled, shaking his head in disbelief. His daughter was beyond powerful.

If she ever fully awakened…

He would be unstoppable.

Jugo crashed into the sand with a loud thud, leaving a crater behind. He groaned in pain.

Mufasa raised a hand. An electromagnetic cannon formed at his fingertips, charging up. "Tch. Annoying bastard. Almost ruined everything."

A single blast.

Mukade's head was instantly reduced to molecules, erased from existence.

Finally, it was over.

The battlefield fell silent, the tension melting away as the crisis passed.

Everyone gathered near the entrance of the Dragon Vein Cavern. Though the land itself had been restored, the mechanical wreckage and construction equipment remained in ruins. The cost of the battle was clear.

Mufasa sat atop the twisted remains of an excavator, watching as the workers began clearing the debris. Nearby, Orochimaru, Sasuke, Sasori, Gaara, Kabuto, and Kimimaro stood around him, their minds still racing from the events they had just witnessed.

Orochimaru finally broke the silence. "My lord… that girl… who was she?"

Mufasa smirked. "My daughter. Altair."

Everyone, except Sasuke, froze in shock.

Sasuke remained calm, remembering the glowing sphere of light he had once been shown when he awakened his upgraded Mangekyō Sharingan. Kazekage had told him about her.

But he never expected it to be real.

Gaara, usually the composed one, narrowed his eyes in curiosity. "Sensei… when exactly did you have a daughter? And with who?"

Everyone leaned in.

This was big news.

Mufasa sighed. "I didn't have her. I created her."

A pause.

Creative?

Orochimaru's eyes widened with excitement. "You mean… in a cultivation tank?! And you didn't tell me?!"

His voice cracked with emotion.

"Kazekage-sama, I have been nothing but loyal! How could you keep this a secret from me?!"

Mufasa rolled his eyes. "It wasn't a cultivation tank, you lunatic. It was my own ability. I was researching the Uchiha's Mangekyō Sharingan and, well… let's just say, Altair was an unexpected result."

Everyone turned to Sasuke.

Sasuke simply nodded.

Orochimaru trembled with excitement. "Sharingan research… I must study it! If you can create a daughter, then I… I can… I can—"

"—Calm yourself," Mufasa interrupted. "We're not building an army of weirdly overpowered anime girls."

With the situation explained, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Altair was on their side.

For now.

As for her slumber… she would awaken again, someday.

Moving Forward

Mufasa took a deep breath and addressed the group. "From now on, Jugo is forbidden from approaching the dragon veins."

Orochimaru nodded. "Understood."

"Also," Mufasa continued, "speed up your Nature Energy Engine project. Maybe if we outfit Jugo with Nature Engine armor, we can suppress his berserk tendencies."

Orochimaru's grin widened. "The third-generation prototype is in testing. We should have results soon."

Mufasa pointed toward the entrance of the Dragon Vein Cavern. "We can't leave this place unguarded. We need to build a fortress—something strong enough to contain and defend the dragon veins."

Today's disaster had proven just how dangerous the energy could be. If left unchecked, it could destroy the entire desert.

Gaara stepped forward. "We'll begin construction immediately. I'll personally lead the First and Second Squads to guard the site until the fortress is complete."

Sasori raised a hand. "I'll help as well."

Mufasa glared at him. "No. You focus on automated production. We need a more efficient way to build."

Sasori sighed. "Fine."
