Selene's eyelids fluttered open, her head still feeling a little fuzzy from last night. She shook her head slightly, only to realize that she was actually lying on top of someone's broad chest.
Then it all began to return,in slow, tiny bits and waves of flashes, he her memory.
The wedding invitation was from the phone Nikolas had given her.
That gut-wrenching ache feeling she had gotten had made her freeze, tearing up with emotion when she had seen it.
Then Nikolas swooped in, helping her and comforting her in ways she could not possibly do on her own.
Then, he offered her a promise of revenge.
