Seraphina stared at them, arms crossed, her sharp eyes filled with suspicion. Charles and Edward froze in place, completely confused and taken aback.
She leaned in slightly and said in a low voice, "I won't tell anyone about this… but you two better be careful."
With that, Seraphina turned around, her dark gaze lingering for a second before she walked away.
Edward let out a small breath. "I'm sorry," he said softly.
Charles turned to him with a gentle look and replied, "It's okay."
He walked off toward the bathroom, but Edward quietly followed behind. As Charles entered, Edward stepped in and wrapped his arms around him from behind.
Charles's cheeks flushed pink. "What are you doing?" he asked.
Edward smiled and rested his chin on Charles's shoulder. "I'm just making sure you're not mad at me."
Charles slowly turned to face him, his eyes soft. "I'm not angry."
Edward blinked, then blushed a little himself. "Oh… really?"
