The party had been too long, and Charles collapsed onto the bed with a groan. "I'm tired," he muttered, rubbing his eyes.
Edward stood in the doorway, watching him. His lips curled into a slow smile. "I'll be back," he said, and left.
At the end of the corridor, Oliver, Eira, Edeline, Cassandra, and Seraphina slept undisturbed. Edward returned, shutting the door gently. Charles raised an eyebrow. "You were going to present me with that gift?"
Rather than reply, Edward collapsed to the floor by the bed, his eyes clouding. Charles sat up, heart pounding. "Why are you—"
Edward pushed Charles' knees apart with tender fingers, his hands tracing the material of his pants, running a taunting finger over the heat beneath. Charles gasped in. "W-What are you doing?"
