Edward and Charles entered the grand dining hall, where Alric, Noah, Cassandra, and Eira were already seated. Helena sat at the head of the table, regal as always, and smiled warmly when the two boys took their seats beside her.
Not long after, a tall man entered—a presence strong and composed. Cealum Ambrose. His eyes landed on Charles and Cassandra, and for a brief moment, his expression shifted—shock, and something deeper, sadder.
"They're here?" he said, voice slightly trembling.
Helena nodded calmly. "Yes. I brought them here."
Cealum sat at the table slowly, his gaze soft and distant as he continued to look at the children. Dinner began quietly, the clinking of cutlery the only sound until Cealum spoke again—this time directly to Charles and Cassandra.
"You… you look just like your mothers."
Helena's hand paused mid-air, holding her cup. Charles and Cassandra glanced at Cealum, surprised. But Cealum quickly averted his eyes.
"Eat," he murmured. "Enjoy your food."
