The leaders of the other two groups, who were also at the Expert mage rank, narrowed their eyes after listening to what Lucas said. They were familiar with his cunning and dishonest behaviour but what he said didn't really seem like a bad deal.
The remains of an earth golem at the mutated rank might fetch a higher price than even the corpse of some transformed rank beast but the profit would not still be enough for all of them to share.
No matter how they looked at it, having Lucas owe them a favour was more valuable than splitting the money that they would gain from the remains of the golem. Not only was the Golden Tree group a popular group with a larger influence but there was the highly regarded Mr Chen.
Lucas definitely wasn't trying to cheat them.
