Running test after test, on endless amounts of alloys to determine a usable and combination, became the new routine for most of us. I am running constant simulations with red, Nirrti doing alloy and compatibility tests and Heimdall went back to Hala(Current Asgard Homeworld) to deliver a prototype of the MDF generator, so that their scientists can start working on a way to enhance it and then use it on their ships.
A surprising breakthrough came in the form of depleted naquadah I had lying around, when experimenting with fission power, but I deemed it too inefficient. It turns out a alloy derived from a depleted naquadah, niobium and molybdenum, become a super alloy with near 100% corrosion resistance with only the highest grade of solvents damaging it.
theoretically it has a infinite lifespan as a metal, it also has very high neural compatibility, with a 233% efficiency compared to biological neural receptors, the micro computer incased in this material can effortlessly communicate with brain matter making a perfect material for our needs.
the main problem now is creating a sort of biological organ than must produce these nanites as they are needed, from consumed products, as it is not reliable to have to inject every newborn with it, it needs to function like a integral part of Asgradian biology. the first clone must also be grow from a DNA matrix to remove all future clone degeneration.
Its been a week, and Heimdall has return, seeming very giddy. It seems their MDF development was a success, and their people now has a fighting chance in the war.
She showed surprised when I showed her the data on the nanite development and started run her own tests and research into how these nanites could be permanently integrated into every future Asgard. It was at this point that she came to realize, that maybe we don't need to to run in the genetics, and could program the 1st hosts to split of a part of their own nanites to the unborn fetus, where they will then work on their own the create more of themselves with consumed materials.
This process did solve one of the issues but still left us with the growing of the first batch of Asgard, who will essentially become the progenitors. Of which she mentioned we will need to create at least a few thousand, so there are enough to continue the research and growing of new semi-clones, and conduct controlled mutation to ensure diversity.
Although diversity is not strictly necessary, it helps on a universal scale especially dealing with other races and seeing as they will need to procreate again, one does not want all females to look like copies, from a male standpoint... :)...
Moving on...
With less that 2 months to spare till the deadline, we kicked things into overdrive with the dispersal of the T2 compound into the atmosphere, I estimate both ship will be completed in less than a month.
It was 2 weeks later that, while running simulations, that Red came to me with an interesting idea to create a sort of nanite forge, to create and distribute the nanites along with nutrient solution to the growing fetuses, almost the same way it will occur in the future.
The semi-clones will be grown along with the nanites, which will then integrate themselves into the subjects and then start the self replication, while the new body is still growing. only this time it will grow till adulthood, this also completely remove a rejection factor.
Another 2 week passed and the 1st batch of clones can now be grown. I was highly surprised when Heimdall told me that the Asgardian population has a 3 to 1 ratio of females to males. so we will be doing 3000 females and 1000 males in the 1st batch.
This batch will mostly transfer the consciousness of stored Asgard, as they have no current bodies to transfer to. If everything is a success the next batches will be transferred and so on. A test in fertility will also be run and tested to ensure everything is going according to the plans.

the new Asgard form will be close in height to their previous one, but they will have a permanent blue tint caused by the nanites. Females will stand at a height of 1.9 metres, slightly busty and have slightly muscular physique.
The males will average out at 2.1 metres in height and be quite muscular, with the same blueish lines and tint, the permanent nanites will eliminate all disease, genetic problem, infections, infertility and weight issues. Their bodies will function at peak health for all, 14000 years of their lifespan.
The lifespan is a side effect of the T11 compound that will be used in the speeding up their growth from nearly 12 years to 6 months per batch, this will reshape telomeres, and reduce decay to a near 0%. Although 14000 years is only a estimate, it will be quite important for them to have long lifespans, since pregnancy will be near 3 year of slow growth of the fetus in the womb. Then their will also be the near 40 years they will need to become fully adult.
All these factors where implemented to remove any chances of complication during conception and birth, the babies will still be nearly the size of a humans at the end of the 3 year period. To avoid any learning and adaptation issues a slowed growth cycle was introduced to ensure every child born has all the mean to become what ever they could want. Most of later childhood will be spend in learning, however the Asgard do that.
With many projects coming to a close and the 1st batch of new Asgard growing, thing became very active, Sylvia is also out and really is just a gem, she's been basicaaly hanging on Nirtti learning more and more every day, even going to far and to take part in some of Nirrti's more tame research. She is about the size of a 10 yearold in human terms, but with highly developed brain she already functions like a pseudo-adult.
About 2 week till deadline....
I was relaxing with Nirrti and Silvia, taking a break from the lab, we got on the Solitude and decided to go on a small vacation or just explore some of the outer parts of the Milkyway, as Ignis Prime is located near the edge this also allowed us to test the Warp-drive in short jumps, with Red running the math to avoid dangerous exit locations.
As we mostly know the positions of most stars in the Milkyway it turned out to not be a problem, the new sensor system also helped. We would basically jump to a nearby star, run planetary mineral scan, check for life on habitable worlds, even the frozen worlds where checked, as it is theoretically possible to find life near the core where water is not frozen.
On one of the planets we landed to take some samples and explore, when we came across something. ''A ruin by the looks of it and it goes very deep into the planet according to the scans from Red'' I mentioned to Nirtti beside me, We were both wearing full armour even Silvia has a personal shield for safety.
As even the Goa'uld never explored these planets, we did not know if we could encounter anything here, some initial scans showed its older than the Ancients, along with scans of unknown minerals and materials. This entire star-system seems to be different than anything we have found in the Milkyway thus far, Red also confirmed after checking and cross referencing with the Ancient data records, that this star along with its 5 planets did not exist here 4000 years ago.
It must have somehow landed here and then fell into a orbit around Sagittarius A, now many things are horribly wrong with this turn of events, but the fact that it's a decaying ruin and no life signs beyond some wildlife smaller than rabbit where detected. It spark my inner explorer.
So we moved the Solitude closer and set up camp, to rest, we will explore when the sun rises, as it seems the day night here is quite fast, only 16 hour cycle. The next morning we equipped our weapons and armour and proceeded down the decaying tunnel, akin to mine shaft.
Sometimes I had to use a laser drill, to clear out some rocks and cave-ins, Nirrti was in a good mood as she is constantly taking samples from everything new we encounter, be it moss or a different coloured piece of rock, everything got sampled and stored in my bag.
After nearly 40 minutes of walking down the decaying corridor we came to massive ornamental doors, with massive decayed statues clad in golden armour, with massive shoulder pauldrons, ornamental shield and what looks to be a sword. It was at this moment I realized it, they where...
