Coralis heard him and quickly looked up. With her palm hand pointing in their direction, she used a levitation spell to grab them both, and she threw them across the railing. They landed violently against the wall across the room and were impaled on the sword of a stone statue pointing up as they ricocheted toward the ground.
Sebastian and Emery quickly went up the stairs while Coralis, Eva and Zahir saw more guards coming out of a room ahead of them. Using elemental magic, they easily unlocked the door.
"We found their cell block. Frank is in there, awake and in one piece, along with many others," said Sebastian to Coralis while Emery connected to High Elf Frizzo's hologram before walking to Frank. "Care to tell me what did we just walk into?"
Frank explained to him what he knew about the place and what he and Aaron tried to get Coralis's attention.
"She got the memo all right," said Sebastian and mind-linked Coralis what this facility was for, so she could search for other test subjects held captive and look for evidence.
When hearing that Sebastian had found Frank alive and seemingly well, she started to calm down, but her rage flared back up upon hearing about the type of facility they walked in.
"They were about to do what to him?" said Coralis, seeing red again.
"Hell is breaking loose in there, I'm going in," said High Goblin Glorisse and reopened the portal to let Boukya, Chiwa and High Djinn Moraa through the portal.
"So am I. Get the prisoners to the coordinates I'll send you. Transports will arrive in about 90 minutes. Agent Boukhya will stand guard there, and I'll send you Agent Chiwa Mila to assist," said High Elf Frizzo.
"Oopsie," said Sebastian, looking at the comatose werewolves across from them. "I told Blue about this place so she could search it with the others to gather evidence and see if there are more people locked up, but uh, that's not what she understood."
Emery chuckled as he unlocked their cells.
"You have a mate, you should have known better," said Emery, using energy to open the unlocked cell doors, not wanting to touch the silver bars.
"Oh well, I can't bring myself to feel guilty about it."
"Folks, you heard the instructions we got. Who among you feels strong enough to carry an unconscious one?"
The werewolves all raised a hand.
"They were right," said one of the humans in the same cell as Frank, looking confused. "They said his wife would save us all, but I didn't want to believe it. To me, all witches are evil and I recognized the name from the wanted list… but you guys can't be evil, you're saving us."
"His wife is currently being evil to those who locked you up in here, but she never was to the human population. If you are thankful to her, do NOT repeat her husband's name to anyone. I'm saying this to all of you here. If people ask, tell them M. Blue was indeed locked up with you, but do not repeat his name," said Sebastian as Chiwa walked into the cell block.
"Sebastian will leave this cell block first, and you will follow him in a single file. Those of you who want to help, carry an unconscious one with you. Chiwa and I will tail you," said Emery.
"Alpha Ramon, my alpha, is among the unconscious ones, I'll take him. I don't want to sound demanding and ungrateful, but is there a way you guys can take us to a doctor?" said Aaron, picking him up.
"Blue and Eva would probably be able to tell what he's been injected with and reverse it. I'll ask them to have a look at him and the others before the transports depart, and we will go from there," said Sebastian.
"That kind of hellshit sort of became their specialty," said Emery.
"I told the guys the people behind this place poked the wrong one," said Liam, picking up an unconscious wolf.
Eva joined them by the stairs as Sebastian made it down the stairs.
"I want to help," said Alpha Tanner, turning around to transfer the shifter he carried to the werewolf behind him.
"I wouldn't recommend doing that. If Blue doesn't know who you are and that you're among the people we freed up, you're more likely to get killed by her, thinking you're working in here," said Eva.
"I also had to step away before getting injured from her bouncing energy," said Zahir.
"Then her mate should go appease her," said the wolf behind Alpha Tanner.
"NO! She's more likely to hurt him by accident before realizing he's there. I will not let him go anywhere near her right now. Blue will have my head if I let her mate walk into the danger zone and even worse, if he gets hurt I'll end up with a divorce on my hands because I'm married to his sister. I would like to keep my head on my shoulders and stay married," said Sebastian.
"Words. Fear the wrath of your mate first. I just realized that you, elementals, are just as bad as us when it comes down to your mates," said Aaron as they walked toward the entry door, guarded by Zahir and Eva.
"The dead bodies on the floor agreed with you," said Eva.
"She'll calm down once her mate is safely outside and everyone involved in his capture is dead," said Sebastian.
Meanwhile, High Djinn Moraa searched the facility, killed two vampires and one elf scientist, and seized evidence of what this secret lab was used for and what they were researching. She found log books and journals of clinical trials. In one of the rooms, she found a werewolf wearing a lab coat hidden under a desk, shivering in fear. She stupefied him.
"Can you send me Zahor and Eva? I found a researcher hiding. I stupefied him to take him to our dungeon for questioning," said High Djinn Moraa to High Elf Frizzo through their twinning bond mind-link.
"We came across cages with people in them. I'll send Chiwa to you, she'll be fine to levitate him to the gathering point."
"Holy gods from above, this wasn't a small secret operation Blue Thunder led us to. What were they doing to these people? I don't know if her mate was taken by mistake, but whoever runs this place needs to be stopped regardless. How come we didn't know?"
As Sebastian and Emery helped Eva and Zahir free the people in cages, Coralis continued her rampage through the facility, killing everyone she came across. Her rage intensified when she saw the people in cages, as she thought about what they would have done to Frank hadn't she shown up when she did. She wasn't discerning species and killed a few human scientists without realizing it.
High Elf Frizzo and High Goblin Glorisse followed the path of dead bodies to a director's office, where they found Coralis in combat against two mages and High Elf Ylkyo.
