✿ CHAPTER 47 ✿
"Oh my God!! Isn't that the CEO of 7eleven?"
"Yes, yes, yes!!! It's him!! It's really him!!"
"Oh my!! He looks so hot in person!!!"
"I think I'm about to faint!!"
"See the way he holds our Lysandra!!! Ahh!!!"
"Let's go," I carefully protected her as we walked away from the crowd, but they were still behind us...they didn't make any attempt to leave.
"Hurry! Take photos of them!!!"
The paparazzi kept taking countless photos of us together as I protected Lysandra out of the hotel.
I was stunned to also see many fans outside of the hotel...there were countless of them screaming and taking multiple photos.
Lysandra was an actress, a full-blown celebrity.. she should be used to this, but she seemed terrified...I could feel her body shaking.
But where were her bodyguards and manager?
My chauffeur was stunned to see the amount of crowd following behind us...he hurriedly opened the door to let us in and helped Lysandra with her luggage and bags into the car. I carefully put Lysandra into the car.
In the next minute, people crowded my car, banging at the car window...
"Hurry, drive!" I said to my chauffeur as he quickly drove out.
Lysandra buried her face in my chest as I held her.
When I finally turned around...I could see we lost track of them.
I sighed in relief
"Boss, are you okay?"
"Yes, yes, I am."
I looked down at Lysandra...I didn't know how to react to the way she held onto me.
"Hey, are you alright?"
She nodded, but she didn't raise her head
I felt her body burning up...
I held her face up, and her face was red, her eyes drowsy...she had a fever
"Sir-"
"Quickly, drive to the hospital."
"Yes, sir" my chauffeur sped up to a nearby hospital immediately.
She rested her head on my shoulders
"You're burning up, Lysandra...I'm taking you to the hospital, okay?"
She nodded slowly in response, her eyes were shut close.
I sighed, I couldn't believe I was doing this...everything, after 10 years, and now what?
I carefully took off her nose mask and sunglasses...and yes, she still looked the same after all these years...the first woman that stole my heart, right here in my arms...the first woman I fell in love with, but not anymore.
When we finally arrived at the hospital, she was quickly admitted into a ward for her to be taken care of.
"You can go home early, just leave the car behind," I said to my chauffeur
"Will everything be all right with Ms. Lysandra?"
"Yes, she'll be fine...you can leave now."
"Yes, sir...have a good night, sir" he gave a little bow before walking away.
I turned around to get food for Lysandra as instructed by the doctor.
When I walked back into the ward, I could see the IV drip being injected into her, but she was still unconscious.
"You're here," the doctor turns to face me
"Yes, I brought food for her."
"Ok, are you the patient's husband?" the doctor asked
"Husband?"
"Yes, aren't you her husband?"
"No, I'm not...I'm her relative."
"Ok then, sorry for the misunderstanding...I just thought you both were-"
"It's fine doctor...what exactly is wrong with her?"
"She had a very high fever that caused her temperature to rise"
"Hmm"
"All she needs now is a good rest...this IV drip will help her regain strength when she wakes up"
"Ok," I looked at Lysandra lying on the bed with a very pale face.
"Doesn't she need to eat this now?"
"Oh right, she'll eat that immediately she wakes up"
"Right"
"So as her relative, you'll have to watch over her for the night"
"The whole night?"
"Yes"
"I'm in no place to do that right now..."
"There's no problem then, we'll assign a nurse to take care of her"
"Ok, I'll check up on her in the morning"
"Yes sir"
"I'll leave now"
I turned around as I left the ward...I ran a hand through my hair tiredly...
I received a call from Daniel and my assistant calling me non-stop as soon as I stepped out of the hospital but I chose not to answer.
I knew why they were calling.
