"Mommy, Dean has already brought me to the Watson Castle before. I told you last time about my classmate's kind and gentle grandma that was actually Dean's grandmother." Hilary whispered into Claire Miler's ear, "Don't worry, no one here knows I'm your daughter."
Claire suddenly understood. So all those times Hilary said she was visiting a classmate's house, she was actually coming to Watson Castle with Dean.
No wonder she'd caught a glimpse of Gilbert Watson's back several times near the CS Apartments. It must have been him bringing Hilary home.
"Just be careful and don't wander around," Claire composed herself and reminded gently.
Hilary was, after all, of the Watson bloodline. If she could visit here unnoticed, perhaps it wouldn't be a problem.
"Don't worry, Mommy. I will," Hilary wrapped her arms around Claire's neck and whispered, "Mommy, be careful. That ugly witch and the old hag are trying to hurt you."
