"This is bad! He's going to self-destruct! Tianming, run!" Xiaobai shouted. She broke free from the restraints with all her strength and dashed away.
Yu Tianming activated his soul bone skill Chasing Clouds and Racing Moon, turning into a streak of white light and fleeing dozens of miles in a flash.
No one truly knew what the self-destruction of a hundred-thousand-year soul beast would be like—but everyone could imagine. If such a beast released all its power and soul at once, the devastation would be unimaginable. If it happened, few would survive.
No one expected that in the end, the Evil Orca King would be so extreme, willing to completely erase himself from existence just to drag Xiaobai to death with him.

The Sea Dragon soul beast who raised Sea Dragon Douluo had already sacrificed itself to become Yu Tianming's sixth soul ring. For the beast's revival, Sea Dragon Douluo desired Yu Tianming's success even more than Yu Tianming himself.
With Sea Dragon Douluo gone, everyone could now clearly see what was in the temple.
At the center stood a three-tiered floating platform surrounded by miniature Sacred Pillars. In the middle of the platform was a pitch-black staff planted upright.

They noticed that Bo Saixi's aura had changed. She still looked young, but there was a kindness and wisdom to her now, like that of a venerable elder rather than a vast, unfathomable sea.
Everyone bowed deeply. "Greetings, Senior."
Bo Saixi nodded and smiled gently. "Before the seventh trial begins, let me tell you a story of the Sea God."
"Long ago, the ocean was a land of chaos, where soul beasts and soul masters waged endless wars. Tens of thousands of years ago, a peerless genius emerged. He conquered every corner of the sea alone, subduing one race after another. After 1,001 years, he unified the ocean and was honored as the Sea God by all."
She paused before continuing, "Children, do you know why it took the Sea God 1,001 years to become a god?"
Yu Tianming said nothing, and the three women behind him looked at each other, shaking their heads.
"It's because of rules," Bo Saixi said. "The Sea God once said, Title Douluo at Rank 99 is the limit of this world. Beyond that, there's no further advancement. That is the rule. But to break it, to rise above it—that is godhood."

The trident's exposed handle was about ten feet long, as thick as a child's arm, pitch black and matte. Faint patterns were barely visible on its surface. Yu Tianming extended his spiritual sense and found it was lodged at the very core of Sea God Mountain, connected to the entire mountain's energy.
He didn't hesitate. As he transformed into his dragon state, he firmly gripped the warm handle.
Just then, the golden Sea God Trident imprint on his forehead lit up. A beam of divine light shot forth, illuminating the trident's handle.
Boom—
The trident trembled in his grip. Golden light spread from the black shaft, and a divine pressure radiated outward.
Fully dragonized, Yu Tianming let out a powerful roar and pulled. The Sea God Temple shook as the 54,000-jin trident was yanked out by brute force.
He recalled—greater Sea God affinity meant stronger divine light, making the trident easier to control. He channeled divine light from his forehead into the trident, which gradually became lighter.
The Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud flew out and transformed into a dark-blue diamond, fitting perfectly into the slot on the trident's head.
