Chapter 101 - Guiding Wind and Sunset Glow, Martial Soul True Body

Xiaobai's expression grew unusually grave. "My clan has spent decades recovering, and only now are we barely able to stand against the Evil Demon Orca. I don't know what methods you have, but if your strength is lacking, you must act with caution. If we fail to wipe them out, my people will pay with their lives."

Yu Tianming said, "My spiritual perception spans hundreds of miles, and with the speed advantage of the Demon Soul Great White Sharks, we can ambush lone Evil Demon Orcas with superior numbers."

Xiaobai recalled how she had received Yu Tianming's message from nearly a hundred miles away, while both she and the Evil Demon Orca King could only sense things within a ten-mile radius. With the sharks' speed, they could take out enemies one by one.

"In that case," she said, growing excited, "we can weaken the Evil Demon Orca with minimal losses—perhaps even without a single death on our side—and severely wound their king."

She became visibly more energized and walked straight up to Yu Tianming, placing her hands on his shoulders. "What do I need to prepare? When do we move out?"

Seeing Xiaobai like this, Dugu Yan's expression turned cold. She stepped between them, brushed Xiaobai's hands away, and said flatly, "There are only about two hundred adult Evil Demon Orcas. For our trial, we need to kill at least sixty—that's nearly a third of their population."

She paused for a moment, then added, "It won't be easy. We might make good progress early on, but the orcas will grow more alert, and the mission will become increasingly difficult."

Seeing Dugu Yan not only wary of a soul beast but calmly analyzing the situation, Yu Tianming pulled her into his arms with a smile.

Then he said to Xiaobai, "Call the fastest and strongest of your clan. We'll head directly to the Evil Demon Orca's lair."

Without another word, Xiaobai let out a few sharp cries. Her shark followers scattered to summon the elite of their tribe.

Yu Tianming then said to Dugu Yan, "Based on our ocean combat abilities, we'll help Ah Zhu complete her trial first, then you and Ah Zhi, and I'll go last. Even if it gets harder, we'll all succeed."

Soon, seven or eight massive Demon Soul Great White Sharks—each over 20 meters long—surfaced. Judging by their auras, they were all at least 50,000 years old.

"These are our tribe's elites," Xiaobai explained. "In terms of speed, they easily surpass most Evil Demon Orcas, except the 100,000-year-old king."

Yu Tianming nodded in satisfaction, and under Xiaobai's guidance, the group mounted the backs of the largest sharks.

Xiaobai surged ahead, the others following closely as they headed into the deep sea.

Standing on the back of a shark, they stayed steady despite the slick surface, thanks to their current strength.

Only now did they truly witness the power of the Demon Soul Great White Shark as a ruler of the sea. Wind howled around them like knives, and blue halos of water zipped past on either side.

These apex soul beasts moved faster than any ship ever could.

Clearly, the limited waters of the ring-shaped sea had constrained Xiaobai before. That such powerful sharks still feared the Evil Demon Orca showed how difficult their fourth trial truly was.

Though the lair was 500 miles away, the sharks' speed made the journey take only two hours.

After an hour, Yu Tianming faintly sensed the Evil Demon Orca group.

They were nearly twice the size of the sharks—hulking, muscular creatures lacking the sharks' streamlined grace but radiating brute strength. Their dark red eyes were fierce, and their mouths, when open, revealed terrifying sword-like teeth.

There were no other large marine creatures in the area—proof of their dominance.

Roughly 200 to 300 Evil Demon Orcas swam in the region, mostly adults. At the center of the group floated a massive one over 30 meters long, with gray-black skin that gleamed faintly metallic. No doubt, this was their king.

The group patrolled a wide swath of ocean, clearly keeping all intruders out.

According to Xiaobai, they had to hunt far away for food. These ones appeared full, some floating lazily in rest.

Just then, a small squad of orcas—about seven or eight—left the group, heading in their direction.

Yu Tianming's voice echoed through the team: "This squad has one 50,000-year leader, the others are under 20,000 years."

He leapt onto Xiaobai's back and said, "Head thirty miles south. We'll intercept them."

Xiaobai flicked her tail, leading Dugu Yan, the other two girls, and eight elite sharks southward.

Fifteen minutes later, the orcas came into view—and saw the high-level sharks approaching. They panicked and turned to flee toward their group.

Xiaobai roared, "Accelerate! Attack! Don't let a single one escape!" Then she darted forward, her 100,000-year cultivation giving her unmatched speed.

The other sharks carrying the girls also surged ahead, forcing them to hold on tightly.

They were only a hundred miles from the orca group. If not for their overwhelming strength and speed, they might have lost their targets.

As the sharks charged, Yu Tianming opened his wings and chanted, "Soul Bone Skill—Guiding Wind and Sunset Glow!"

In an instant, the bright midday sea darkened as if dusk had fallen. Red and blue hues spread across the ocean for ten miles around him.

If Tang San had observed with his Purple Demon Eyes, he would've seen countless fine threads weaving through sunlight, water, and the speeding soul beasts.

Only Xiaobai, with her 100,000-year cultivation, barely sensed something strange—before she could speak, Yu Tianming's wings quivered.

Far off, wounds suddenly opened across the enemy leader's body. Blood stained the ocean for a hundred meters.

The weaker orcas floated belly-up on the sea. The 50,000-year orca slowed drastically and was quickly caught and nearly killed by Xiaobai.

"That was my Soul Bone Skill," Yu Tianming said. "It's called Guiding Wind and Sunset Glow. It attacks weaker enemies over a large area."

Then he looked at the red figure on a nearby shark. "Ah Zhu, your sea combat skills are weakest. You finish them off and pass Lord Sea God's trial."

Ah Zhu nodded, summoned her twin white swords, and dealt the final blows to each orca.

Then they quickly left.

---

Over the next two weeks, relying on Yu Tianming's perception, they intercepted small orca squads. With Xiaobai and elite sharks, they hunted them down. Ah Zhu and Dugu Yan soon passed their trials.

Xiaobai, meanwhile, launched constant raids using her unmatched speed. Watching the evil orcas fall gave her newfound confidence.

She thought: This is the chance granted by Lord Sea God. I can't waste it—we must cripple them.

But good things never last. Out of 200 adult orcas, over 20 had been killed in two weeks. The orcas finally caught on. They began hunting in full force, no longer in small squads.

Without opportunities to strike, Yu Tianming circled the area, waiting for their vigilance to lapse.

Another two weeks passed.

Finally, one 40,000-year elite orca emerged with a few 10,000-year subordinates. Yu Tianming immediately set off with Xiaobai and Ah Zhi to intercept.

Ah Zhi had reached level 60 after body-tempering. The 40,000-year orca was perfect for her spirit ring.

After a fierce battle, the orcas were slain.

Ah Zhi sat cross-legged atop a shark to absorb her ring—but just then, Yu Tianming sensed the orca king, 80 miles away, suddenly rushing toward them.

"Damn it," he muttered.

Although ordinary sharks were slower than the 100,000-year king, Yu Tianming's wide perception usually let them avoid trouble.

But with Ah Zhi absorbing her ring, the sharks couldn't flee at full speed.

After a moment's thought, Yu Tianming said to Xiaobai, "The orca king is coming alone. Send Ah Zhi's shark steadily toward Sea God Island. You and I will stay here to hold him off."

Shark-form Xiaobai nodded. Her shark allies swiftly departed, leaving only her and Yu Tianming behind.

She said, "My lord, you're only a Soul Sage. You should leave first. The orca king's attacks could easily injure you. I may be weaker, but I can buy us time."

Yu Tianming shook his head. He knew Xiaobai couldn't win alone and would likely die. But with his soul skill Chasing Clouds and Moon, he could escape if needed.

Soon, the orca king arrived ten miles away. He spotted Xiaobai and instantly realized what had happened. A month's worth of rage exploded.

"ROAR—!" A jet of water shot from his back as he howled, "You killed my people?!"

Though afraid, Xiaobai stood tall. "That's right. Evil Tiger, do you remember what I said when you killed my brother? Today, you'll pay in blood. You scum who defile the ocean—we bring Sea God's justice."

"Sea God? He vanished millennia ago. You dare challenge me? Just like your brother, you'll die today."

Hearing that, Xiaobai's eyes turned blood red. With a roar, she charged.

At the same moment, Yu Tianming launched into the air from her back. His seventh spirit ring lit up, transforming him into a three-headed dragon with wings, twin tails, and four limbs.

The massive form was over 30 meters long—larger than Xiaobai or the orca king. Though slender, it surpassed the forms of even Titled Douluo like Dugu Bo.

This size came from his over-200,000-year spirit ring and the natural size of Ghidorah.

As Yu Tianming revealed his Martial Soul True Body, the situation instantly shifted. The orca king, once aggressive, suddenly froze.

Xiaobai struck first, unleashing her Demon Shark Domain. Yu Tianming followed from the sky with elemental bombardments, Killing God Domain, and Guiding Wind and Sunset Glow.

The orca king was trapped in a crystallized sea, assailed by killing intent, and sliced apart by countless threads from within.
