As a rule, she and Peter had decided never to bring dates home without discussing it with each other beforehand. Being that Ariel had been single for years now, and that her brother also had a similar problem. The rule had never been a problem.
But now things were complete different. In a little over two weeks Ariel was going to be married. She used that as a justification for having not told Peter that she would be having Tristan over. Besides it was not as though the two of them would be doing anything naughty. They would just be talking.
Ariel reminded herself of that as she led Tristan through the tiny apartment.
"I do not want to risk my brother walking in and finding us, so we are going to talk in my room," Tristan made a strangled sound from behind her, but she ignored him. Soon enough they were in her room and she closed the door behind them with an audible sigh.
