The room was eerily silent, save for the faint hum of fluorescent lights overhead. Standing in the center of the dimly lit chamber was a figure whose presence exuded both danger and mystery. His golden hair shimmered under the cold light, his aristocratic features giving him an almost otherworldly charm. This was Cavendish, the "White Horse" of the Revolutionary Army, known to the public as the terrifying "Romeru no Kamaitachi." Yet beneath that polished exterior lay secrets—secrets that were about to be exposed.

A Confrontation Begins

"Jack the Demon of Germa, what brings you here?" Cavendish glared at Ichiji and his companions, his tone laced with thinly veiled hostility.

Unfazed by the animosity, Ichiji stepped forward without hesitation. He examined Cavendish from head to toe, noting the noble air that surrounded him. With a smirk, he mused aloud, "I never expected the infamous 'Romeru no Kamaitachi,' who has struck fear into countless hearts, to be such a narcissistic fellow..."

Ichiji had already done his homework. Cavendish wasn't from Romeru Kingdom but hailed from the Bourgeoisie Kingdom, where he was rumored to be a prince. Currently, he trained under one of Romeru's most renowned swordsmen, Yaku Mori. Despite this, there was no denying Cavendish's appeal—he embodied every woman's ideal man. Even his bounty poster was likely cherished by fans like a collectible poster.

"Romeru no Kamaitachi?"

Cavendish's expression flickered for a moment before returning to its usual calm. He looked around theatrically, pretending ignorance while inwardly growing wary. How could anyone know his deepest secret—a persona only a handful of people close to him were aware of?

Before Cavendish could react further, Ichiji suddenly vanished from sight. In an instant, he reappeared directly in front of Cavendish, his right hand reaching out to grab the latter's head.

"How fast!" Cavendish's pupils contracted in shock. Without giving it a second thought, he leaped backward, unsheathing his holy sword Durandal in one fluid motion. The blade gleamed as it slashed through the air toward Ichiji.

But Ichiji's arm, wrapped in dense black Haki, ignored the strike entirely. It closed around Cavendich's neck like a vice, cutting off his retreat.

"You're dead!" Cavendish snarled, swinging Durandal again. This time, the blade aimed straight for Ichiji's throat.

However, just as quickly, Ichiji's neck became encased in a layer of hardened black Haki, shimmering like metal. The sharp edge of Durandal barely scratched the surface.

"What?!" Cavendish gasped, disbelief etched across his face.

With ruthless efficiency, Ichiji delivered a devastating kick to Cavendish's abdomen. The force sent him flying back, blood spurting from his mouth as he slammed against a nearby tree trunk. Blackened fingers plucked Durandal from Cavendish's grasp and tossed it aside.

"You bastard... cough, cough..." Cavendish wheezed, pinned to the tree by Ichiji's iron grip. His complexion turned blue as he struggled desperately to breathe, clawing at the hand around his neck. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't break free.

"If you stop struggling, I might let you live longer," Ichiji said coldly, his voice devoid of mercy. "Your half-baked swordsmanship is laughable. Training while indulging in self-delusion? You're truly a rare breed."

Enraged beyond measure, Cavendish gritted his teeth. For someone hailed as a prodigy, being utterly dominated—and then insulted—by this stranger was unbearable.

"Law, use your ability," Ichiji commanded, turning to Trafalgar Law, who stood nearby, carrying the eerie nodachi named "Kikoku."

Law shrugged nonchalantly. "Dissociative identity disorder, huh? Fascinating."

He drew Kikoku, its blade gleaming ominously. "The world is full of wonders."

"What are you bastards planning?!" Cavendish choked out, his voice trembling with fury. Today felt like nothing short of divine punishment.

"Bepo," Law called softly to the bear holding a black cat cradled in its arms.

If Ichiji understood correctly, Cavendish didn't merely have dissociative personalities—it was more accurate to say he possessed two distinct souls within one body. That explained why both personalities could manifest simultaneously. And now, they intended to test their theory.

"Yes, Captain..." Bepo began, stepping forward hesitantly.

But before anything else happened, Cavendish underwent a drastic transformation. His golden hair flared wildly, and his handsome face twisted into something monstrous. A surge of murderous intent radiated from him as he thrashed violently in Ichiji's grip.

"Damn you! I'll tear you apart limb by limb!" Cavendish roared, kicking furiously. Each blow shook the surrounding trees, snapping one in half with sheer brute strength.

Yet despite his ferocity, he remained trapped, unable to escape Ichiji's hold. His eyes burned with madness as he screamed threats.

"This is his second personality?" Akainu murmured, narrowing his gaze. The aura emanating from Cavendish now was leagues stronger than before, brimming with raw savagery and malice.

"This might get out of hand," Bern muttered, frowning deeply.

"Perfect timing," Law declared, raising his palm. A translucent barrier materialized around them. "ROOM!"

With surgical precision, Law's blade sliced through the air, extracting a pink, heart-shaped substance connected to the black cat. Another identical extraction followed, this time from Cavendish himself.

"So this is the power of the Ope Ope no Mi?" Burnt and Pod gawked, awestruck.

"Transplant."

Sweat poured down Law's face as he manipulated the two hearts, swapping them with painstaking care. The effort left him drained, collapsing to the ground moments later, gasping for breath.

"That's quite the ability," Ichiji remarked, visibly impressed despite having witnessed it before. The capabilities of the Ope Ope no Mi were indeed absurd—even transferring consciousness between beings.

The Aftermath

"Phew, it's done, Your Highness—" Law panted, addressing Ichiji.

"Mrowww—"

Before Law could finish, the black cat's eyes snapped open, glowing with malevolent intent. It leapt toward Bepo with predatory speed, releasing waves of killing intent.

"Bang!"

Akainu reacted instantly, intercepting the crazed feline mid-air. Sharp claws swiped harmlessly through empty space as the cat snarled, locked in a fierce stare-down with Akainu.
