Following the utter humiliation of losing a handicap match without even playing, Sam was determined to redeem himself.
Next Match: High Jump
Participants:
Red Beans:
Roslin
Easter
White Tigers:
Jangla
Yimsula(NPC)
Sam clenched his fists. If I can't win, I'll at least make sure my team does!
As the high jump match began, Sam took his role as team motivator a little too seriously.
He cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled, "ROS-LIN! JUMP LIKE THE PERFECT RELATIONSHIP YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YEARS IS AT THE TOP!"
Roslin groaned. "Sam, shut up."
But Sam wasn't done. He started clapping like a coach at an exorcism and screamed, "IF YOU FAIL THIS, I'M GONNA TELL EVERYONE YOU ONLY EAT NOODLES BECAUSE YOU CAN'T COOK!"
Roslin's eye twitched. "You are already telling everyone about it."
The referee looked concerned. "Uh… is he allowed to do that?"
Jangla, smirking from the White Tigers' side, chimed in, "Nah, let him cook. This is entertainment."
Unfortunately for Sam, his "motivation" had the opposite effect. Roslin, now too embarrassed to function, completely botched her jump and lost the match entirely.

As the first day of the annual sports event came to a close, the Red Beans weren't just losing the match—they weren't even losing their will as well.
On one side, Liabilities and Jangla were leading a victory chant, "We are... White Tigers!" while being lifted into the air by their teammates.
On the other side, the Red Beans' camp looked like a funeral. Not a single cheer. No pep talks. Just pure regret. Flower stared into the void. Sam was mentally preparing his retirement speech.
Lowering his head, Sam muttered, "Roslin… I'm really sorry. I tried to cheer you on, but it ended up backfiring."
Roslin, also staring at the ground, replied in a low voice, "You better be sorry. I wouldn't have lost if it wasn't for you."
Sam felt a sharp pang of disappointment in himself.
Then, after a long silence, Roslin muttered, "Although… it was embarrassing, it still made me happy that you were cheering for me."
Sam's head shot up in shock. "Wait, what do you mean?"
Roslin sighed, still not looking at him. "Your words reach people, Sam… even if those words make them want to disappear from existence."
Sam blinked. "Wait… so you're saying my words actually helped?"
Roslin finally lifted her head slightly, avoiding eye contact. "No. I'm saying you made me lose, but at least you meant well."
Sam scratched the back of his head. "So… you're not mad?"
"Oh, I'm furious," Roslin deadpanned. "But I also know you were trying. And for that, I'll only hold a grudge for—hmm, let's say—three years."
Sam choked. "THREE YEARS?! ROSLIN, HAVE MERCY!"
Roslin smirked. "Nope. Suffer."
Meanwhile, the White Tigers were still celebrating like they had just won an Olympic gold medal, chanting "We are White Tigers!" while Liabilities and Jangla were practically being paraded around.
Just as things couldn't get worse, their teacher clapped her hands and announced, "Alright, everyone! That was just the first day. Tomorrow, we have more events!"
Sam and Roslin exchanged without saying a word they exchanged words saying let win tomorrow.
