When Krow arrived there after running to it before it turned dark as when it turned dark the pizza shop would be closed he saw him sitting there. A hologram once again it was never a real person or perhaps Krow just knew he might never meet the real person." Hey so I see you went to her apartment and to the museum afterall then " said the mad scientist as he took a bite of the hologram pizza in front of him. Honestly Krow was a little bit amused by the fact he wasn't even eating real pizza though now was not the time to think about something like that. He had to find out the truth about what was going on or where exactly he should be going.
Before Krow could even ask the millions of questions racing through his mind the mad scientist already gave him an awnser he was truly seeking." Yes Melissa truly is dead. Though we cannot stop here Krow casualties are expected to be a result of the very real important thing we are doing here and you must understand that. You are the most important piece in all this almost no one else matters your the one that will make the world change and see the truth." Said the mad scientist completely disregarding krows opinions or any regards for sympathy the mad scientist had no time for any of that. "You fucker!!" Screamed Krow before he noticed how everyone else was just seeing him scream at a hologram and he decided to lower his voice and take a seat next to him.
" so your telling me Melissa's death one of the only people who truly cared about me her death means nothing? That I should just continue with your experiment to find this quote on quote truth of the world or find this labyrinth laboratory system underneath the mayors place? Why should I do any of that screw your contract screw your money" said Krow with as much rage and despair and sadness as he could muster in his lower toned voice speaking. Looking directly the hologram in the eyes." Well it seems you don't understand so I had some safety measures applied there is a bomb in the chest of you and everyone you care about if you let's say, fail to complete my request and what I want you in turn will witness the death of everyone else important to you and then your own death Krow now is this what you want?" Said the mad scientist with a deathly serious voice.
Krow knew it in his mind that the mad scientist was lying he had to be lying afterall there's no way this superficial fake lie could actually be a thing right. Though on the small very small chance that this was real was he really going to risk it all and have him kill everyone that's important to him left his sister and her kids? He already lost nearly everyone due to the agency the last people that cared about him could he just abondon them? No he couldn't he knew he couldn't he knew although it hurts melissa's death it truly hurts he had to go on he had to keep going.
"Fine you evil fucker I'll agree to your demands I'll keep going on this evil fucking life this evil road your taking me down just know that if I'm going straight to hell for what I'm doing your going to be the first person next to me" said Krow with nearly tears in his eyes and his fist curled up." Look I am no person devoid of sympathy I am not devoid of happiness I have emotions too but past my emotions I have goals I have to reach for the world and you are the first person that can help me reach them I found you through the agency afterall. So look when this is all over you can go on your life as you want but the question is more of will you want your normal life anymore? That's what I truly wonder Krow so keep fighting I thank you for it truly from the bottom of my hollow heart" said the mad scientist.
It was clear from this discussion to Krow that the mad scientist was not a man devoid of emotions he wasn't a psychopath or sociopath. He was just someone willing to take whatever necessary risk to meet his goals at all cost. Someone that Krow was just like up until a little while ago perhaps a part of the mad scientist reflected in Krow too. The part of Krow that he wasn't sure if he wanted to be anymore. He needed to be more for his family." Alright just tell me when is the next time that I go somewhere." Said Krow.
"After the funeral for Melissa, there will be people from the agency there follow them and find out where the labyrinth is at and tell me they will know where it's at one of them will trust me though be careful the ones the agency will send are not like the assassins you've seen they are trained almost at the same caliber of your training so be careful Krow." Said the mad scientist trying to offer some form of support now."alright don't worry about me I will take care of them and find out the information the funeral is in 2 days so I'll find out then." Said Krow still hesitating about his decision to keep going this was still hard on him emotionally. He just lost someone so close to him one of the only people left he cared about. Krow left the pizza parlor leaving the mad scientist behind.
He went to the top of an abondon building with a drink in his hand. Looking up at the moonlight with sake in his hand he remembered perhaps just the good times of him and Melissa laying on the top of the agency building wishing for their freedom. When suddenly tears began rolling down krows face as he layed down on the abondon building. A cold hard surface a cold hard building it reminded him of how he used to feel as a child taking him back to that deep trauma that he locked away deep inside himself. A side a creature he didn't want to remember at all. He refused to remember it instead trying to focus on the good memories again. Just staring up at the moonlight the bright beautiful moon with stars shining in the sky." Well this is such a beautiful sight I wish you were here to see it with me Melissa, just one last time." Said Krow as he said cheers and tipped his sake to a non existent person anymore.
This was it she was gone and he knew it but it still hurt this was life afterall. We live and we die Krow knew it internally but the tears going down his face as he sat up still hurt him deeply inside. I just wish for a better life for those I care about. It's such a beautiful night out Melissa. Was all Krow thought before passing out on the rooftop building.
