Pre funeral. Ch43
"Hey wake the fuck up you can't lay down here this isn't for people to lay on get the fuck up and leave!!" Said the man sweeping the roof with pidgeons on his shoulder. Perhaps he was the owner he wasn't sure who he was though it didn't matter. Krow panicked and got up still hung over from how much he drunk the previous night he stumbled his way down the stairs into the city.
Everything was still hazy for Krow as he walked through the city. He even had to stop at a point and throw up. Fuck man this is why I don't drink anymore Krow thought to himself. Slowly walking back to his sisters house stumbling his way over there due to the intoxication of the night before. He eventually arrived right in front of the door. It was a Saturday so the kids would be home. Krow checked his watch on his arm noticing it was lunch time so perhaps the kids were eating right now. Immediately as he walked through the door he was greeted by a strong hug from a young man." Uncle Krow!!!" Shouted Kyle while smiling up at him." Hey uncle!!" Shouted Sadie from across the house eating her lunch at the dinning table with her mother his sister next to her going through laundry and sorting them.
"Well it seems to me like you need help don't you huh?" Said Krow sarcastically." Yeah yeah just get over here and help me fold them." Said Cindy ushering Krow to come over. "Uncle Krow do you want to see what I built in art class!!" Said Kyle." Ugh it's not even that impressive I could build better clearly." Said Sadie trying to sound like the more egotistical sibling. Then Kyle went into his room in his drawer and came back out with a paper machete flamingo." Wow!!! That's so cool Kyle do you think you could make one for me sometime?" Said Krow trying to sound as enthusiastic as possible."yeah!!!" Said Kyle clearly happy about what he built." Hey do you think you could take your brother with you in the other room though I need to talk to him." Said Cindy.
She was their mother but she was clearly the one in power. She had to be both the father figure and the motherly figure with the father gone afterall. Though more then anything she just wanted to find out what happened to her husband and that was it." Hey look whatever is going on you have to promise do not bring my kids into this they are innocent from all of this they do not deserve to go through the sort of things that we did know they are innocent." Said Cindy with a look of concern on her face clearly concerned about both Krow and her kids." Now I know you don't want to talk about this but we have too, regarding Melissa and how the funeral will be held afterall your the person that's mentioned in her will of how the funeral will go." Said Cindy offering her support to Krow.
"Alright, I understand and I'll make those decision but you know I would never do anything to put your kids in harms way you know that. Regarding what I'm doing honestly all I can say is this job is very dangerous but if it works out you will never have to worry about money ever I promise Cindy."said Krow." Yeah I get that but I care more about you and those kids need some sort of father figure more then money could ever buy anything and that's the truth face it" said Cindy with seriousness in her tone looking directly at Krow." Alright I got it don't worry and I'll start setting up the funeral stuff it's supposed to be tomorrow anyway right I got it let's go book the reservations." Said Krow." Well get going then you can see the kids more Krow." Said Cindy.
Clearly she was pushing him away right now at this point but it was understandable she couldn't withhold anymore hurt after everything that happened she couldn't risk it at all. She was just a mother trying to protect her younglings and Krow knew that he knew that especially. Now was the day to figure everything out regarding the funeral. So he went to do it.
